For Spring Break we got to have a family reunion at Legoland. It was a lot of fun! Grandma and Grandpa Goodman, Ty's family (with 4 week old Seth), Steve's family (with soon to be wife Nicole), and Annie's family all came along. It was wonderful to all be together and play. We split 3 suites in a hotel in Carlsbad. Mike even got to be there for a few days, woo hoo! He drove down with us on Thursday, then we took him to the airport in San Diego on Monday. Oh how I love to have a husband!We stayed in a room with Ty and Rachel and their kids. Steve and Nicole and their 5 kids had room, and Annie stayed with Grandma and Grandpa. It ended up working out pretty good:) And by the way, I just love Nicole and her kids. I'm so excited to have her be my new sister-in-law!
We all went to Legoland on Saturday. It was Star Wars day and had so much fun to see all the characters everywhere. (I'm a big Star Wars fan!) It was quite exhausting riding rides and walking around. And I ruined an hour and 45 minutes of everyone's time when I suggested we stand in line for the Skyscraper/Car thing. Sorry!!!
Sunday Mike and I took the kids to a 9am ward we found kind of close by. It was nice to be far from home and still feel right at home in their ward. I'm happy we got up super early to get there. When we went back, we went to the beach. Yay! The kids loved it! They could have played in the sand making sandcastles for days. It was beautiful. Although I did forget how yucky and sandy the beach is until we got back to our hotel room. But it was worth it.
Mike and I spent the day on Monday with the kids in San Diego. We ate at Chuck e Cheese's for the first time. I actually think the kids had more fun there than Legoland. Dad gave them handfuls of coins, they were definitely in heaven. But it was pretty sad to say goodbye to Daddy:( It just wasn't the same without him.
We went grocery shopping and had a relaxing time that evening. We all had FHE together then had a birthday party for Harlee and Brooklyn in the hotel lobby and played games.
Tuesday we played at the water park at Legoland. We also saw the Dutsons's while we were there! They are our neighbors down the street. I think we went back to Legoland one last time (we had a 5 day pass) then headed back home on Thursday. We followed Grandpa Goodman on the way home and stopped at the Vegas store to check on things. It was a wonderful trip! But it's even better when you come home!
