Aurora

~Aurora is a wonderful part of our family. We love her so much.  Especially her big brother and sister!
~She is our big fat girl! I can't believe how fast she has grown!!
~She is getting happier and more content with every passing day. She was quite a cryer for the first month of her life.
~She sleeps through the night a little more than every other night now.  That makes Mommy so happy:)  Although I didn't mind spending some one on one time with each other in the middle of the night.
~She WILL NOT take a bottle! I fed her a bottle quite a few times her first month, but let too much time pass in between, so now, nope! Only Mommies boobies:)
~She refuses a binkie, and Mommy is very sad about that.
~She is her own little person. She is may look like her brother and sister, but she is nothing like them. I have a feeling she will be our independent one.
~She is a grouchy little girl depending on the day. Usually Sundays during the sacrament...
~She loves to lay on the floor and kick.
~She LOVES her big brother and sister and is so happy just watching them for an hour.
~She cries the instant she is put in the carseat.  She will scream and scream until she cries herself to sleep, or till the car is moving. Then she is quiet.  Great car rider!!
~She has beautiful blue eyes.
~She is a wonderful napper! Still sleeps like a newborn, all the time.
~At her 2 month check up: 24" (95%) 11#14oz (70%) 15.25" (50%)  She is big girl!!

Sequoia

This girl makes me laugh every day.  We love having her in our family.
~One day she is a "boy." She talks, dresses and acts like a boy.  Her "boy voice" is our favorite.
~Another day she is a baby. She wants to be carried, talks like a baby and is shy.
~Other days she is super hyper and crazy, and super grouchy and sassy.  She keeps us on our toes!
~Her "friend" Carter only comes and visits every once in a while.  But her "biggest brother" comes and plays a lot. "His" name is Chaxton and is 6 yrs old. He is a wonderful helper when he's here. He cleans very good and likes to help "Sequoia's mom."  I LOVE her imagination!!
~She is getting better and choosing girl clothes to wear for school, and sometimes she'll wear them the rest of the day. Saves on laundry!
~She likes to sleep, sometimes she wants to just go to bed without getting ready.  Ok with me!
~She loves her Me Reader books (she just got the princess set for Christmas and reads/listens to them all the time)
~She got a Lala Loopsie roller coaster for Christmas so we just pulled it out a couple days ago and its been her favorite toy. (I was a Barbie freak so it makes me happy when she plays imaginary dolls)
~Her and Linc were playing in their rooms and I hear, "What?! Clean your room! How do I need to tell you one more time!" I love hearing what I say from there mouths:)
~Her favorite things in the world: lankie, ay sister, school,  & snow.
~Her favorite color is still dark lue.
~Her favorite two shirts: root & Spiderman
~She is so happy and friendly at school, as soon as we literally walk out the door... whine, whine, whine!! (Hmm, she gets it from her Mommy)
~She could live in the snow if she was dressed properly. Just this morning efore reakfast, she was on the deck with her owl scooping it up to eat.
~She gets very tempermental when she's hungry! (Another Mommy trait:)
~She LOVES her chocolate!
~Ramen noodles are her favorite food, especially "hard" (uncooked).

Lincoln

~Oh Lincoln, you are such a wonderful big brother!! We love you so much.
~He has a sweet personality and is super friendly.
~I do have to ask him more than once to do something, but he'll get the job done in time.
~He wishes he could have a dog, but that will have to be way in the future.
~His favorite color is dark blue.
~He does NOT usually like to have his hair done. I can make a trade with him, I pick out his clothes, no hair do that day and the other way around. We are both happy:)
~The next day after we had a babysitter over, I asked him what they did. He said he was acting silly so she had him sit on the couch for 5 minutes to calm down. Then he said time was up, he jumped up, pulled his pants down, and stuck her butt out at her!!  AHH!!!  I was mortified!  One that he even says "butt" and especially that my sweet boy is MOONING people!  What am I going to do??
~Last year when I picked him up from school one day, the teacher informed me that he'd been telling her that I spanked him with a hammer. Wow.
~He was crying my name just a couple nights ago so I went in his room. He said the Yoda's eyes on the Yoda poster above his bed were scary and were watching him. He was freaked out:(
~Last week when I picked him up from school his teacher and Linc told me about a dream he'd had the night before. He dreamed that I was pregnant with a baby boy and when I was having him, I died. The baby boy was ok, but I was watching him from heaven. Oh My Sad!! I was trying so hard not to cry while he was telling me. I can't believe he dreamed that.  Now it seriously makes me slightly nervous to have a boy!
~About a year ago (I found a paper I'd wrote things down on) ... my favorite sayings of his: "it's darkin..."  "I'm sorry Sissy... but I didn't."  "All the leaves are gone, its only sticks left." "Oh, I'm kidding."  While saying a prayer with me while Daddy was sleeping from doing a job... "Thank you for Daddy, that he can be home, and get some rest so he can play Star War Legos with me.."
~He is so excited to start Kindergarten in the fall!!
~His favorite thing to eat is a peanut butter and honey sandwich.
~He LOVES to play IPad games and Star War Legos with his Daddy.
~His favorite things in the world: his Dad, blue blanket, & his sisters.
~He is still saving his money for Skylander Giants.  He puts away the silverware and a few other things around the house to earn quarters. We are pretty impressed with this guy:)

Happy Birthday, Lincoln!!

Our Big 5 Year Old!!
Oh my how we love this sweet boy!  Every day is so much better with Lincoln in it.  He is happy, fun, sweet, crazy and energetic all in one. Happy Birthday!!

On his birthday, he got cards from both his grandmas. They both sent some birthday money so we went to the store and took the money. I told him he could buy whatever he wanted with it. We went up and down every aisle, some a few times. In the end, he told me he wanted to buy one thing for $1, then save the rest to buy Skylander Giants.  (Background: he saw this video game in a magazine one day and has been talking about it ever since.  It is $75 to buy a starter kit. We told him it was too much to get for Christmas, so he said he'd save his money, constantly asking if every quarter he got was enough.) I was impressed and surprised when he said he wanted to save his money. What a cool kid.  So when we got home, Mike sat down with him and they made a money chart. He is now working for us to earn quarters to go toward his video game. We'll see how long it takes. What a cool 5 year old. We love you Bubba:)

We spent his birthday at The Science Zone, McDonalds, Walmart, and playing games as a family. He had a great day and was super happy. Then Saturday he had a huge birthday party. We cleaned and cleaned all morning.

(By the way, while I was vacuuming downstairs I noticed some of the wood floor warped! It was about a 10x10 section all damaged from water. Big bummer!  Mike ripped it up and we are still in the process of looking for the source. My first thought was oh no!! But right after I hoped it was super bad and we had to get carpet. Darn! ;) I hate the floor downstairs!! Hopefully we'll know soon what's going on.)

By the time all the kids arrived for the party, there were 17!! It was a ZOO! But so much fun for Lincoln.  We let them play downstairs for a bit, then decorate their own cupcakes, sing and cut the cake, eat ice cream, play "pin the Spiderman on the bad guy," open gifts, then pinata.  It was fun!

I made him a Batman cake, he thought of the design for it.  Clever boy!!

He was so happy!

Sorry they are all terrible pictures!!  I took them all with my phone. Bummer. But it gives an idea of how crazy and fun it was:) Mike and I decided maybe three more years for another birthday party. I definitely can't do that every year for each kid!
