A night in SLC:)

Time is seriously flying! Weeks go by so darn fast. Probably because I am so excited for the next time Mikey comes home from a trip, its another week! Its been a crazy one for us this week. It was Friday I think last week Mike got called out to Colorado (supposedly on days off;) and was going to have to be there about 5 days. Well the job ended up pushing for another few days and they let him come home and wait for it, which is rare. So he came home Sat and we got a lot cleaned and organized around the house. It was so nice. We got to go to church, then feed the missionaries after, and then he had to go back to the job. It was perfect timing.

Well, they finished the one job and was about to go on another when he got a call to go to Alaska on a different job. So... I hurried and packed all our bags and me and Linc headed for Ogden. My mom watched Linc over night so me and Mike could meet up in SLC the night before he had to fly out. We went out to eat, dropped off the truck and stayed in a hotel. It was so good to be able to see him before he left. It was a fun little adventure:)

He took the shuttle to the airport and let me sleep in the next morning without a child. It was heaven. Once I eventually got up, I headed back to Ogden to get the little man. This was the funnest time he's had at Grandma and Grandpa Phister's so far. I was so glad. (He's been a monster lately, another story) Me, Mom, and Linc all went shopping before we went back home. I was in desperate need of maternity jeans. I never wore them with Linc, and now I'm wondering why! I love them!

Man I can talk forever! So, Mikey hopefully will be home Wed. It will be a good time to spend with Linc. I work the grave tonight (Toni is going to keep him overnight) and don't work until next Thurs. I'm so glad because I need to spend more time with Linc. He's been so grouchy lately; I'm going crazy! He has a bunch of teeth coming in, but I don't know if that's all why. He loves to walk all over the place, and get into everything! I need to find some fun activities for him to do to keep him occupied. I just have no idea what he can do at his age. Any ideas??

There was one day I couldn't take the whining any more, so where of all places do I take him??? The library, oh well! They have some cool toys and stuff there he likes. He was pretty good until I accidentally dropped a book on his head. Oops, sorry buddy! I don't even know why I get books for him there, he refuses to read any books other than his own. He's a funny little kid! I also got a new series and I'm loving it. I loved Harry Potter and am so sad its over. So I got Fablehaven. Its a magical series for young adults. I really like it! And when I finish that I'll read the series Magyk.

Grant had a birthday party last Saturday. Happy birthday! It was fun for the kids to play. I just feel bad for Linc. Seriously like everywhere we go he is always the youngest. He tries so hard to play with the big kids, but always ends up getting hurt. Its good for him; we are making him tough! (Linc and a cute little girl, Lydia)

Linc and Grant

I caught him almost blinking, but he was so funny in Mommy's pink beanie! My pretty little girl, and with his pretty pink BOTTLE!

Me and Toni are kind of doing a trade-off tonight. She ran in a 5k today so we are playing with Grant here, then Linc is going to go play at their house overnight, since I have to work. I love having someone over. Linc is so good and not right by me whining for attention (if I would just give it to him he wouldn't!) They play pretty good together for two "only child" boys.

TV is one magical invention!! And Disney movies! Oh yeah, you really can't see it very well, but Linc was attacked by Baley, my family's little dog! Poor kid. We didn't see it, but all the sudden heard Baley freak out barking and Linc screaming. He had walked into Ty's room in the dark, so I don't even think he knew she was in there. I'm sure he just saw blankets and pillows on the floor and went to cuddle. There was a long bloody scratch along the side of his face when I got him. It looks much better now. I don't think he'll be going by her any time soon.

Just a quick pic of Linc and a blanket. He is so funny about blankies! Just loves them!

Oh yeah, and during his grouchy days, to make it worse, we lost his binky for a few days! Whoever knows Lincoln, you know he has to have THAT binky. It was not a fun time. Luckily Linc found it stuffed in the couch the day we went to Grandmas.

Girly girl!!!

Good morning Mommy:)

Well, well! Its been freakin forever! We've just got so much going on I don't take the time to sit down and write about it. It was fun to have Mike home. He's actually been home quite a bit the past 2 weeks. I think he went on only one job for a few days. He also got to go to Utah with us and find out about the little girl:) That is always my favorite one with him. It was funny because he was going to go on a job and then not going to go on the job 5 different times until they finally decided they didn't need him and he got to go with us. Speaking of Mikey, I came home from work tonight to a perfectly clean house. Spider webs, swept, mopped, vacuum, all the laundry done, the works... It was wonderful! Thanks so much Mikey, and Linc for being so good letting him do it. Oh and it was so cute! After being with Daddy all day long, when he left to go play soccer tonight, Lincoln started crying for him and running after him as he was leaving. I loved it! He sure loves his Daddy:)

Lincoln was sick the weekend before last (that's why we've been so busy). We just finished up with his antibiotics today. He had been coughing, and puking because of the coughing, raspy voice, very runny nose and all that fun stuff. I found out that one of his play friends he'd been around had tonsilitis. Great. So we took him into the Instacare in RS and sure enough! He was not feeling good at all and still contagious on Monday so I called in to work. I felt bad, but what do ya do?! I called my mom and she came out to be with us (and in some yucky weather, thanks so much Mom!) It was so nice to have her around, it was also while Mike was gone, so it was perfect timing. I went to work Tues and Grandma watched the little man. I really appreciated it, and I'm sure he loved having Grandma around. Where we live Linc doesn't get to see either sets of grandparents much, so we'll take all the time we can get! He is doing much better now, yea!

He was having fun playing with Grandma

Linc is learning so much, I love this age! Everyday, and pretty much every time he's with his dad there is something new. Hes getting to be a pro at walking now and is so proud of himself. He makes the cutest animal noises, but he just wont do it on camera or for other people. He can fake sneeze, so cute! I'll have to get some stuff on camera for the grandparents. What a silly kid, we sure love him!

He loves boxes. He'll get into my kitchen drawers and play with measuring cups and all kinds of things he can reach. I usually end up finding them in the craziest places.

Ty got snuck a pic of him sleeping at their house, of course, another sleeping pic. That's when you love your child the most:)

Grandma Goodman loves that Linc plays Peek-a-boo so I thought Id get a video for her

And Grandma Phister taught Linc where his eyes and nose are. It so cute! And sorry this videos are so noisy; we were driving.

Mike has been playing a lot of soccer lately. I'm not sure if I mentioned earlier, he plays soccer with the high school kids at the school every Mon and Wed night and sometimes Thurs. He also got to play indoor with the twins when we went to Ogden. That was fun. Its been really good for him to get to play. I feel so bad that they don't have any leagues and stuff going on here. But the high school stuff has been really good.

Some of my friends had an 80s night party. It was super fun. Out of 19 girls, only like 7 of us dressed up. We went out to eat at Don Pedros, which of course we got plenty of stares, and then went to a friends to play rock band and hang out and chat. Of course lame me, I was the first to leave with Bonnie following behind. We both had to work and I was already way tired! But it was a good night. Mike has been awesome this week! He's been with Linc while I worked, went out playing with friends, young womens, and tomorrow night I'm going to the movies with friends. What a sweetie! Its been a really good week.

It was a blast to get all crazy dressing up!

Silly! Some of the girls went home and changed before we got pics, they looked really good too!

Oh yeah, so now that we know its a girl, I've been none stop thinking of girl names. I've really liked Avery, which is still top, but want to think of some more. Today at work we were thinking and someone came up with Jetta (Lincoln, Pilot... my boys, cars...) and I love it! But we'll see! Any ideas??

It's Going To Be A GIRL!!!

Tuesday, February 3, 2009

Mikey is home! Wahoo!!!!

Lincoln loves pillows and blankets! He wont cuddle with me, but he'll cuddle with a soft fuzzy blankie.

Yeah! We are having so much fun having Daddy around with us. We are very lazy, but its worth it:) My stress level has definitely gone down a bunch. I think Sunday right before we went to pick him up at the airport in SLC was the worst with Linc. He just cried and cried. Everyone kept giving me advice or giving hints of what I should do with him, which I'm sure they all mean well, but LEAVE ME ALONE! I'm already about to cry because I just wish Mike were with us, Linc wont stop screaming, and I had to teach in young womens. It was an awful beginning of the day. (So just a few weeks ago they released all the advisors/teachers in YW because we have 31/2 active girls, but now that means I teach every 3 weeks and do and the activities and personal progresss stuff. Its fun, but I'm just really grateful I only work 2 days/week now. Its a busy time.) Anyways, I know I sound so rude, but I was about to freak out at church. I really look up to some friends of mine who have multiple children, I've never seen their husbands at church, and they still come every Sunday.

So me and Linc picked up Mikey at about 3:30 at the airport. Yeah! Its wonderful. Now when Mike leaves for like 3 days at a time, it will be a breeze! (I hope.) Linc was so good in the car too! I was so so grateful for that! I know he really missed Mike. He was giggling so much after Mike got in the car.

We are back to normal life for a least a week. Its so nice. We are going to go see the third Underworld today and I'm so excited! Oh, and I figured out why Linc was such a crabby bum. His two teeth by the front teeth are poking out, a top molar is already poking out and all swollen, and a molar on the bottom is just about to break out. Poor boy!

Oh and I forgot, I took him to the Dr for his well baby check-up on Friday. He is 29" (25%), 20.7lbs (25%), and I always forget what his head is but its in the 75%-90%. Small little boy with a big head, what a cutie! He is doing better at walking too. Hes very hesitant and slow, but does well and loves it. I sure love his smile; he's a keeper:)

Oh, and one more thing. So before Mike got home I couldn't wait anymore, so I watched the sonogram while I was on the phone with him. I have no idea! I swear, I saw a boy and a girl. When she was doing it, the midwife said she had a "hunch." So... we are just going to wait even longer for the next apt on the 17th. I am going crazy, but I want to be sure what it is before I start buying a whole bunch of new crap for a girl and find out later, oops, a boy.
