Auri's First Haircut

The outfit she chose for Valentine's Day. Our beauty:)

 Love these little sisters!

So funny story... I came home one evening from grocery shopping for us and someone in the ward. Mike was wonderful to let me leave Aurora with him and Linc so I could get it done faster. I missed my little baby so I was loving on her and noticed something was different.  Hmm... It hit me. Her hair was buzzed!!  (In Mike's defense, we had been talking about cutting her hair because she looked like an old man with short hair on top and super long hair in the back, an ugly mullet.) I missed her first hair cut! Sorry Auri, no pictures, but honestly, it really does look better!

So now it looks like we have three boys for a while:)

Sequoia wanted Auri to wear her old costume from when she was a baby.

Family Home Evening

For FHE this week, Mike and I talked about how Heavenly Father wants us to be safe.  So we learned about what to do if we had a fire in the house, and then did some fire drills.  It really was a lot of fun. They got to get in bed, jump out and run and do all the things they were taught. They will definately have a hard time opening the windows if need be, but they know how to for now. Mike even turned one of the alarms.  Poor Sequoia.  She freaked and and started crying. She would not do well during a real fire, but Lincoln rocked it. He is getting to be so big.

While we were talking about what to do (before the drill), we told them to get each other and their baby sister if they can, and run out the nearest door away from the fire. Lincoln said, "Ok, I'll get my sisters, grab my toys, and run out the front door!" (I'm so glad he said that!) We told him he wouldn't have time to grab his toys. The only important things to us are our family and that he can only get his sisters and run.  It was heart breaking! His sweet little face was so sad for a bit, then just started crying. It was so tender that I started to as well!! We tried to explain to him that we are the only things that matter, not material things. It was an eye opener for him to realize fires are serious and its important to RUN.  We also told him we would buy him more toys if our house ever burned down;)

I love having these special moments with our children. I love knowing that we have set aside one night a week to sit down and talk to them about life and gospel topics. We become closer as a family and Mike and I become closer as partners. I love the way the kids just glow as we sing and talk as a family. I'm so grateful for them:)

Aurora giggled for the first time today!  It was so stinkin cute. Luckily Mike hadn't left for work yet so we all were together and heard her.  She is LOVED in our household. She also has a favorite person now.  Her Daddy.  She stares at him everywhere he goes.  She'll cry and cry in my arms, as soon as she's with him, happy as can be.  It's so cute!

Mike has been getting up at 5am every morning to go workout at the rec center in town!  I am super impressed that he's done it every single morning since he bought the pass. I wish I had enough in me to get up that early and accomplish some things, but nope!  Good job Mikey:)

After about 15-20 pies I've eaten (and sometimes shared with others:), I need to take another break.  I went without it for 2 weeks and lost 5 pounds.  I need to do it again.  It's out of control!!  I love them so much. I want to fit in all my old jeans again!

The kids have been playing with their "superheroes" and "girl toys" so good lately. It makes me happy.  I was all about barbies and house when I was little.  They play so well together.  I am so grateful for them. If they do start whining and arguing with each other, I just tell them they don't get to be together for a while and need to separate.  Instant hugs and sorries. They don't like to be away from each other.

The superheroes were protecting the girls in the house.  And I love the names Sequoia comes up with... Cyleb, Chaxton, Lala, Loops...
Even though she likes to pretend she's a boy, she is ALL GIRL:)

I couldn't pick which family picture I love more.
The kids are definately showing their personalities!

He tried to get a picture of Auri, but she was not having it.

These pics I stole off Annie's blog.  Way too cute; playing with the cousins:)

Aurora's blessing day & sick children

It sure has been a week!!  It started out with me taking Lincoln to the Pediatrician for his 5 yr check up.  I'm terrible but I didn't even ask his height and weight, but he did mention he was in the 42% for weight and 20-25%? for height.  He did fantastic with all the other tests.

Oh and Linc read his first real book to me last week!!  We were jumping around with joy we were so happy!  Good job Linc!  It was a Fly Guy book, he loves those.  It makes me so happy when kids learn new things like that.  I love being his Mom:)

So, a couple hours after the check up, Lincoln started to get sick. He ended up missing school every day this week. Sequoia ended up missing 2 of the 4 days. Once Lincoln's fever broke and felt a bit better, Sequoia got it. When I thought Linc was feeling better, I took the kids to Mike's YM activity.  It was super cool. My friend somehow had the Chinese acapella group that won China'a Sing Off staying at her house for a couple days, so we had them come sing for their mutual activity.  It was pretty cool! Although it was while we were there that Sequoia started her fever, and Linc threw up in a garbage can there.  It was worth it though:)

So all the rest of the week, we've been stuck at home. I was getting excited to go to church today and get to chat and be out, but last night Sequoia cried and cried through out the night, waking up Aurora a bunch of times, who now has the fever and it looks like an eye infection or pink eye.  No church for the girls today:(  I'm going to call the doctor's office tomorrow and see if we can get Auri in. She has green yucky goo all over her right eye. Poor girl. Although it's times like these that I'm so grateful I don't work out of the home anymore and I can be with my children when they need me. (And I'm finding that I love my little munchkins even more when they are sick.)

Oh wait, Mike and Linc just walked in the door early from church.  Lincoln is starting to get green yucky goop in his pinkish eyes as well.  Sweet. Nobody at church, everyone in the doc tomorrow.  Let's hope next week is better.

 Her sad little eye

Even though it's terrible she won't take a binky, she LOVES her hands!

Kiddos playing in the toy room

I had to get a couple pictures while it was actually clean!

Quoi is our water girl!!  She decided that her princesses needed a bath. Quoi also loves to stand at the sink forever and clean the dishes, she's Mommy's great helper.

Cute nakey fat girl:)

Early morning computer time.  Aurora is almost as big as Sequoia.

Auri's blessing day February 3rd...  both Grandparents were able to come for her blessing!  What fun to have them in our home at the same time.  Daniel, Annica and Max came with Grandpa and Grandma Phister.  They hadn't been out here yet, so it was fun to show them around and have them here. We ordered pizza, played lots of games, watched the kids play together and passed cute baby around and chatted. I loved it.

Grandpa and Auri just hanging out. I was amazed how happy she was just sitting there!

Grandpa Goodman letting the kids play with "Wilson the Mouse" They just loved it.

Of course these two on the Ipad...

Just shove it in her mouth, she'll stop.

We are so happy our family took the time out of their lives to come visit us and be here for our special day. It meant a lot to us, especially as we all sat together that Sunday morning.
