Just some quick pics

Hi Daddy!!!

I've been able to talk to Mike a little bit more and I'm so happy! Forget see the boy and missing him, I just want to talk to him on the phone every once in a while! I'm so excited that the 3 weeks are almost up. And poor boy out there, he hardly ever gets to sleep! He can go days without. I'm sorry sweetie:(

Lincoln and I went to the church to play with a bunch of kids and and the toys. Some people usually get together once a week and play so we decided to go today. It was good for Linc to get out and be around other kids. Other than that, its been really nice to stay inside and hang out. It's been SO cold here. (Besides where you are Mikey, I'm sure this would be sunshine to you.) I took a few more pics of this silly little guy while you're gone Mikey. He's getting big fast! We can't wait to see you!

Mommy and Linc, he was trying to watch the TV as Mommy rudely put a camera in his face:)

Picking himself back up

Such a drooly little man!

Its the same as the other, but a little longer walk. Good boy Linc!

Family Pictures

Yea!! I finally got this silly disc to work! Here are some pics that we got taken a bit ago. It was a chilly day in the shade! But I'm so happy we got them. Poor Linc looks like he was freezing!

I love this one because we got Lincoln doing his crazy flick of the wrist thing he loves to do. What a fruit cake; we love him so much:)

Look what our little boy can do Mikey!

Wahoo! Go Linky! I love his face, he's concentrating so hard. This video doesn't do it justice, they never do. But its the best one I have. He just started walking and then getting back up himsef last night. Oh, and please ignore the squeaky lady in the background:)

Sorry Mike, I know you said less sugar for the little guy but the lady at the bank offered him a sucker and I could resist. He loved it!
My little fatty loving his pancakes! He has gotten so big lately!

Its been so much fun watching each little step Linc makes. I love being his Mommy and teaching him and these new things. He's been such a BOY lately! All over the place, getting into everything, and has so much energy. His favorite thing is to get into the pots and pans cupboard and get the pot lids and scrape them against the tile. Its magical to the ears;) The two teeth by his front top teeth are starting to poke through and he has not been the happiest the last 2 days. Poor boy.

So I was talking to Mikey the beginning of the week and was talking about when he got home and making some plans and he goes, "Yeah, um, I think I'm gonna be staying another week up here..." No! 3 whole weeks! But we are doing alright. Its been crazy the last few days because I haven't even been able to talk to him on the phone, he didn't have service where he was. That makes it hard when I can't even hear him:( That's way I'm up right now so bright and early. He called me this morning and I was so excited! Wahoo! He said it was 40 degrees below where he was!!! (Northern Canada) Ah!!! I would die! I can't even take the trash outside because I ate to be cold, and I'm lazy, whatever. He said he was going to go to sleep and hopefully go out on another job in a few hours. (Even more days without service) But its good experience for him.

So I have the Sonogram on dvd and the sex of the baby on it, but I just haven't watched it yet! You have no idea how much its driving me crazy not knowing. I thought before I went in to the Dr that it would be fun to wait for Mikey and we could watch it together and find out what it is, but that was before he was going to be gone longer and I'm dying! Next time we talk we might find out while I'm on the phone with him, we'll see...

So I'm going to Ogden to have my new little one. I'm not a fan of my own hospital I work at, sad. I'm actually seeing another midwife at the Circle of Life. She's totally normal, hosp, drugs, the whole package, not some silly home delivery midwife. I'm all about the drugs!!! They do an ultrasound every time you go in for a visit, which I love! She measured the baby and its right on for 16 weeks, perfect. I'm getting so excited!

I stayed with my parents when I went down Sunday evening and we celebrated Ty's birthday which was the 19th. Happy birthday Ty! 14! It was fun to go hang out with them and for them to see Lincoln.

Oh yeah, so my BIG drama for the past week. I lost my camera (which is why there are hardly any pics) and my WEDDING RING! Seriously, I had been freaking out! I finally found the camera a few days later under the couch, I wonder who scooted it under there?? But as soon as I found it I wished it would have been my ring. Honestly, it had been missing for more than a week but I didn't even notice till just a few days before. Oops! I always put it in the same spot and just kept forgetting to put it on before I went anywhere. Before I went to Ut I decided to grab it. Oh no! Not there! I didn't worry too much then, I figured I'd find it. When I got back home and started to look better, that's when I started to freak out! I seriously searched everywhere. I had to work Tues and Wed and even called security and housekeeping to see if someone found a missing ring. I had no clue! I searched through the nasty vacuum just in case, and have been waiting for Lincoln to poop it out even.

So after a few days of really looking hard, I finally told Mike the bad news. (FYI: when he first gave me the ring he seriously said, "Now when you lose this ring you're not getting another one.") I was nervous to tell him! So told him my whole story and he finally said, "Ok since you've really looked hard I'll tell you that I have your ring so you can stop looking. But you need to take care of it." OH MAN! That little stinker! But I sure learned my lesson! I'm going to wear it more often now I swear. I was so relieved when he told me he had it, wow!

Mike, you don't even know this part yet, I forgot to tell you this morning. So, the next morning after Mike told me he had my ring, I'm assuming that he had it with him in Canada, because he said I would get it back when he came home. So anyways, I was talking on the phone on my bed and Linc was just playing around in my room by the night stand, one of his favorite areas, and what do you know! I look down at a smiling little boy and he has MY RING is his sweet little hands!!! What!? I searched there forever in that spot and my 1 yr old finds it! Crazy! So Mikey, I put it away (safely!) and will wait until you come home until I can wear it again, which I will all the time!:)

Wow, sorry about the novel! I get I have a lot to say in the morning. Oh, so my co-worker called me at 5:30 this morning and asked me to work. I have Shilayna's baby shower and a wedding to go to today, but I told her I'd go in after I'm done. So I've been awake since then and just cant sleep. Which was perfect because then my sweetie called! Anyways, its going to be a long day!

I love you so much Mikey! Please call me one more time if you see this before you go out on your next job. Be safe and STAY WARM!!!

I know, I know, another sleeping pic. I love them, too bad! Mikey I want you to see him too. I snuck in and his bottle was right on his face. What a cutie!

Our Little Charlie Brown...

So my neighbor came over last week and gave me this darling little onsie. She handed it to me and said, "Please don't take offense to this, but I just had to buy this for Lincoln. I thought it would be perfect because he has such a Charlie Brown head." In other words, my child has a huge head and she thought it would be way funny to see this on him! But, we know its true, yes Linc, you have a darling big head and we love it:)

It was so wonderful to have Mikey home for the last month. Record for us! We got to play and just sit around and be lazy and I loved every minute. I was just starting to get used to the idea of a husband home every night, but then he had to go back to work and has now been in Canada for a couple days now. He should be home in less than 2 weeks now. We sure miss him, but I hope he's learning and doing a lot up there. (And staying warm!) But the nice thing is, when he gets home it will be another week off! Yea!! Even though he's gone a lot, I feel like we are so spoiled to get him home so much too. We love you Daddy, be safe:)

I've been working more nights and weekends lately, so its been weird to work 3 days during the week this week. I've been pretty busy with work, young womens, the house, and Linc that Mike will be home before we know it! And the house I mean very minimally busy with! Its a mess! I have the day off so its clean and organize day, along with all the errands. Its also so nice to work and then get to be home with Linc, I appreciate our time so much more.

That kid is crazy! I sure love him. He is a jabber mouth. He just talks about anything. And he LOVES Shilayna's dog too! (She's my friend who watches Linc) He lost some weight over Christmas from being sick, but now he's getting so fat and I love it! He's my crazy eater. He loves to eat anything I'm eating, esp noodles:) I'm just loving being Lincoln's Mommy.

He wont sleep with blankets on him, but he loves to keep them close. K! And I've been trying to get our fam pic posted but for some reason the disc wont let me, Rats! So I'll try again tomorrow. It's almost 1am and I'm TIRED!

(Miss you Mikey!)

Happy Birthday Lincoln!!!

Lincoln's birthday was yesterday. Big #1! He's getting to be such a big boy and learning so much. I know he had no idea it was his birthday, so we actually had some friends over Friday night to kind of celebrate. We got a big cake (on sale:) and just hung out and played. He was so happy eating his cake! I rarely give him sugary stuff, so he was in heaven! I love you my sweet little Linc! I'm so happy you are in our family...

"Leave me alone, Mom, I'm busy..."

Yah!!

I forgot to take the binky away while he was eating. But who is Lincoln without his binky??

We went over to Jason and Amanda's last night and ate some yummy dinner. This day was officially Linc's b-day. It was fun playing over at their house. We ended up staying for a while playing MarioKart Wii. It was a blast.

He looks like a little boy in this picture!!

Happy New Year! We went over to Toni's for some awesome food she made New Year's Eve. It was Cafe Rio knock-off, and delicious, and I'm a very picky eater. Mike really liked it too. I guess I'll have to start learning how to cook more. We got a Crock Pot from my parents for Christmas. I'm gonna have to get it out and start. Toni, I want your recipe! We hung out a while and let the boys play for a bit and then went downstairs and watched a movie. Lincoln would not hold still! We was being so crazy! We left at like 10:30pm. I was so tired. I guess we are getting old. The next morning we went to the stake breakfast. I love their pancakes! It's crazy because I was also pregnant the same time last year and the breakfast. Weird. I had to work later that day, but it was nice because Mike and Linc got to hang out and play just the two of them.

Saturday was my birthday! It was a wonderful day. We just hung out and read book or played on the computer and just did nothing. A perfect day with my family:) Some beautiful flowers showed up at the door that afternoon. Thanks Susan and Gary, I love them! I went into work later that evening for the grave shift. Wow was I tired! And now we switched to the 9am meetings for church, Wow! I ended up sneaking into the mother's room and fell asleep on a rocking chair during SS. Naughty! I'm just glad I made it through teaching my lesson in young womens.

Mike has been such a wonderful help around the house and with Linc! I feel bad Ive been sleeping so much! He pretty much watched Linc all Sat and Sun. I really appreciate it. He's at the shop today and then off for another week!!! Wahoo! This is unreal! Thanks for being around sweetie:)

Mom this is for you...

My friend Amanda bought this off the internet! It's a seat belt wallet! You could totally make it! Just cut the belt in half! If you want to buy one to see how it is put together I'll ask her for the website. It is darling! (By the way, my mom makes and sells seat belt purses and are way cute! I have a bunch.)

Some videos of this crazy kid...

He was being such a dork yesterday!! He just started clenching his fists and being so silly! He thinks he's the funniest little person! (My mom taught us to do this when we were babies; he just started doing it himself)

This was the first day with Daddy while he was learning to stand. Good boy!

He just randomly picked up this cup and was "drinking" from it. Looks like we need to do the switch to cups (dang! I love the bottle!)

This one is my favorite! He's so funny!

And Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! 29 years!

The never ending post:) Holiday time...

What crazy times are the holidays! I get so excited every year for this time, and every year when it's over I'm even more excited. I never seem to fully appreciate the comfort of my own home until I'm not in it. It's a wonderful place:) Now we just need some relaxing time! We have been pretty much nonstop since Mike got home from Texas.

Which that was a crazy day in itself! Let's see... like 2 weeks ago! Sat the 13th. Mike was supposed to fly into SLC from Houston, then fly here, and be home by noon. Not so much. It was a blizzardy weekend. They luckily made it to SLC and there plane was delayed, something was wrong with the plane. So they got to hang out and wait a few hours until they got a different plane. He boarded and I was so so excited! (It had been a long trip!) Then all the sudden I did a text 10 min later. NO!! He's on the plane!! Yep, it was Mikey. Darn. They made everyone get off because the weather was too bad. It was a very emotional day. I was crying, happy, sad, you name it. To make a long story short, instead of coming home on the later flight, Mike and 2 other guys traveling with him just rented a car and drove home. Yeah! It was so great to see him! We ended up going (a little late) to his work Christmas party. It was kind of fun. (And nice to have my friend watch Linc)

He found my ribbon in one of the drawers

I was getting ready to go somewhere and walk into the room and see Linc just tearing away at the wrapping paper and Mike was sitting right next to him. I was like "Um, whats up Mike?" And he just said, "What, he's having fun..." Oh well, I had 5 more rolls. Those boys...

Anyways... We pretty much took the week before Christmas to get ready to go. When Mike wasn't working, I was. But it worked out pretty nice for Linc. We were just lounging around the night before we were going to go to my parents and my sister called and said there was going to be a huge storm come in. It was almost 9pm. So we decided to hurry fast and packed in an hour (of course I overpacked EVERYTHING!) and left for Grandmas.

It was so fun to get to hang out with them for some of the holiday time and exchange gifts. I finished my shopping in between snow storms and Mikey got to have a boy's night at Ruby River. We had a family party (Nana's side) on Sat which was way fun to see all my cousins, then we headed straight to St G from the party.

Grandma P turned the big 50 Dec 15. (Happy birthday!!) Linc just loved the black balloons all over!

Uncle Ty and Linc

Grandma and Kim being silly (don't take the pic if you don't want me to post!!! ;-)

Linky Stink

I was feeling bad for missing Aunt Gayla's Christmas party which was right after the other one, but now, I'm so glad! I think my family was a little sad we were going to St G for Christmas, so they sent along a Merry little gift for us to share:) The nastiest flu-like bug! My fam was all sick right before we showed up and we just took it with us. Poor Lincoln, he had it the worst. He threw up on the way down. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Phister, it was an unforgettable Christmas for everyone!:)

It was fun to spend some time down in St G with all the family there. We got to get some games in and some yummy food before all of the sudden one wonderful night, everyone was up puking both ends all night long. In the end Lincoln, Susan, Gary, me, Steve, Kash, Uncle Dow, Kim, Scott, and Rachel all caught the bug. I ended up puking 9 times in about 15 hours. Awesome. (But by now, puking, me? What's new??)

Christmas morning was wonderful! It made the whole trip. Most everyone was feeling good just for the day. Yah! It was fun to be with Mike's family and open presents all together. It's weird that it was Linc's first Christmas. He was born 10 days after Christmas last year. Linc got lots of fun things. Lots of Disney movies, a cool fire truck that squirts water from Grandma G, clothes, a soccer ball... It was fun to watch all the babies.

We just got woken up and were waiting to get to go downstairs for Christmas morning. Too early:)

Daddy and Linc getting ready

Linc opening presents. Probably wondering what the heck we were doing...

A cute little pilot jacket (from GP)

Aunt Annie and Linc

It was so funny! Every time Linc would open a gift, SWIPE! from Logan! He'd come running and it was gone. It was pretty dang funny! Linc didn't mind. I think he liked the boxes and wrapping paper more. But it totally made my morning.

Logan and Morgan

This was funny too. Tyrel was pouring jelly beans into the jar and Linc just sat there and stared forever!

Playin with the tags

Logan in the crazy mess

Lincoln was still throwing up after 6 days so we took him into the Dr after Christmas. She pretty much say to do what we were already doing so that was good news. He finally stopped like the day before we went home. My poor little Linc. He had a rough Christmas week. (And was extra whiny, yah for us!)

We only got to visit with just a couple friends this trip. And that was one of the last days. We passed the bug around to everyone in the house and didn't want to spread it even more. We hung out with B and Lindsay and the boys for while at the Crowthers. It was way fun to see them!

On the Saturday before we went home we all went to the red hills and got our family pictures taken. I'm excited to see how they turn out! It was freezing even at 3pm! So when we left and put Linc in his seat, he was cold and had the biggest crusty face on! We even tried to make him laugh or smile, Nope. "Leave me alone Mom and Dad!"
Gotta love the crusty face:)

Oh it is wonderful to be home! And the best part is, me and Linc have been with Mike for 3 weeks straight now! This is a record. It has been so much fun having him around. He has been on-call all this week and hasn't gone on a job yet, and goes off on Monday night. So...we might get a whole other week with him. Just wonderful:)

So my favorite subject, Lincoln. He has grown up so fast just these last few weeks. It was the week before Christmas. I came home from work Thursday night and Mikey had taught Linc to stand by himself! It was so fun to watch! He is so funny; he'll stand there and clap for himself. What a cutie! Just a few nights ago we taught him how the blow kisses. I love it! And now Mike is in the process of teaching him to walk. Mike has been a very good teacher for Linc. It's crazy how fast children learn. Now with this next baby coming, I'm ok with Linc growing up fast and not being my baby anymore. I'm gonna need a lot of help from him!

Linc sporting the new coat.

But of course, that boy is never without his binky!

Derrick swiped a shot of us just randoming in the kitchen...

Definatley a momma's boy! He loves his noodles! And seriously ever since he's been sick in St G, he has been so clingy to me! Ah! It was cute the first day, but he just freaks out when I leave the room or put him down. I hope this doesn't last.

And I just took a few random shots of the house. We painted a long time ago and I'm not sure if I ever took any picuters. This wall was supposed to be a dark gray, but when finished it turned out to be more blue. I was a little sad, but its not too bad.

We painted all the walls in the front room and hallway white and did all the trim black. I love it! One day we'll move on to the bedrooms, but for now, we are burnt out of painting.
