New Calling, Garden, Sick Children, Camping & Scary Stories

Corn from our very own garden!  It was so much fun to eat what we made ourselves.  The kids had fun shucking it themselves, and eating it!!  Although, Linc was hilarious.  The corn he chose to shuck had seriously 6 earwigs in it.  He was freaking out as they were falling off everywhere.  We were laughing so hard.  It started to rain on us as well.  It was a great day:)

Last weekend we had a campout in our yard.  We all loved it!  We roasted s'mores, told scary stories, and slept in our tent on the lawn.  Thanks Mike for the great idea.  We just love these little munchkins of ours so much.  They are so fun to have around and get to play with. Though it was kind of cold that night, we survived!! (Even though I had to get up and potty 3 times during the night:)

Me and my precious girl

I love my little family!!

This girl and her hair!  I'm really hoping this week to get her to the salon for the first time and get a real hair cut.  I want her to have long hair so if we cut it now hopefully it will grow out thicker and pretty!  Not that she's not pretty right now, she is my gorgeous little girl.

The next morning we got a TON of projects done around the house!  Thank you Mikey!  It was a good productive day.  I painted some picture frame sets I've had forever (I bought them at Walmart, each set $1!! Best sale I ever ran into a few years ago.)  Each set will go in their rooms.  They still aren't hung, but hopefully soon and I can get some pics!!  Mike bought a spray paint gun and painted Linc's headboard (Goodwill= $5), a canopy ring, and a mirror frame.  Thanks sweetie!!

In the middle of our projects, poor Sequoia came to me looking super sad and said she didn't feel well.  She had a fever, bummer.  So instead of going on a date that night, we ordered take-out and stayed home with our munchkins.  She was so tired and dreary the rest of the day.  It was nice to be able to just be home with her:)

Quoi was still feeling yucky on Sunday, so Daddy and Linc got to go to church by themselves.  I was sad to miss, but it was fun to get to be with my little girl just me and her:) Later that afternoon, while I was having a meeting upstairs, Quoi fell asleep on the couch at about 4pm.  I tried to wake her up and eat some food, but she was so tired, I just put her to bed.  She woke up about 11pm, ate a couple bites of bread, drank some water, and went back to sleep till the morning!  15 hours of sleep!  By the time she was up and going for the morning, she said she felt good and wanted to go to school, so I sent her on her way. I'm still amazed how well she slept!

Mike was called to a new calling the Sunday Quoi and I couldn't be there.  He is the Young Men's President. Oh wow, are we going to be busy the next few years!  I was pretty surprised when he told me the week before. The bishop must have known he was just starting to be home more with us and snatched him. We will be just fine:)  He's been in cub scouts for a while and I've been getting used to him being gone once a week.  Now we just need to adjust to all the meetings and extra things.  I'm so excited for him!  I love the youth and I know he will be a fantastic leader.  I'm excited for both of us to be busy and the ward and work:)

Picture frames for Lincoln's room.

This past week Sequoia really wanted to swim in her princess pool.  After saying no a bunch, because I'm lazy and didn't want to set it up, her Daddy came to the rescue and filled it for her.  She had a blast!  I'm sure it was the last time to swim this year, it was cold when we was in!  But of course she didn't care at all.

What our Saturdays look like.... the boys playing with their games, Mommy resting or doing projects, Quoia playing and swimming.

Some Phone Pictures:

The love my craft room! They can paint and do whatever and it just makes the floor even prettier.

Quoi's first Dental visit!  She was great!  She loved x-rays, the cleaning, the people.... everything except the Dentist's chair!!  She did NOT like to lay back.  But she did it!  And got to eat at McDonald's for a reward.  Good girl:)

Still a bit tired from the dentist:)

Two days after Quoia was sick, Linc got it.  He got to stay home from school with me for two days!  He is so easy when he's sick.  He hardly moved, either stayed on the couch, or in my bed.  What a sweetie.  The second day his fever jumped even higher to 103.9.  He took a nap and went to bed early as well.  Luckily it was gone by the morning, but it's always so sad when little ones are sick.

The best smile he could give:)

She wanted to snuggle with him while he was sick.  She was so concerned.

Lincoln's monster shirt as pants.  What a goon!!

Sequoia's scary story:)

Soccer!

Lincoln started soccer!  It's been SO much fun to watch him play!  That age group is so cute. He is actually doing pretty well.  I even got a goal he made on video!  He is so happy. His first game was the day we got home from our reunion.

(We were actually on our drive home from Yellowstone when we passed a sign for Riverton.  And out of the blue, we decided to extend our little family vacation just one more night and stayed at the Hampton in Riverton.  I tried to enjoy every single minute of reading my book in bed, knowing the crazy we were going home to.  It was worth it:)  We got to take the kids swimming, I got to watch HGTV and read my book.  What a nice last night.  I don't plan on going anywhere now till after Baby Girl is born.)

He has 7 or 8 games all together, Tues and Thurs nights.

#5!

Yellowstone-Goodman Family Reunion

Over Labor Day weekend, we went to Yellowstone for our first annual Goodman Family Reunion.  It was so much fun.  (It was especially relaxing to get to leave the world and all that comes with it if only for a weekend) I'm so excited to start getting together every year.

As usual, we left earlier than planned, so the house was a disaster and we had to pack in a rush, but in the end I'm so glad we did.  We decided to stay in Cody, Wy over night, then go the rest of the way in the morning.  It made the trip much more relaxing.  The east entrance to Yellowstone isn't too far from Cody, so we drove through the park to get to the west entrance.  It made our trip exciting.  We got to see a lot of the park at the end of the weekend.

We all met up at Grizzly Rv Park in West Yellowstone.  It was the perfect set up for our families.  Three cabins and two tent spots.  One cabin had a kitchen in it, so food and everything went smooth.  Thanks to Ty and Rachel for picking out the spot and pretty much doing everything.  The cousins all had a great time playing with each other and we made it the whole weekend without anyone getting hurt, amazing!

Yeah Buffalo/Bison!  In the end, old news:)

On Saturday, we went all together to see Old Faithful.  It was cool to go see, and to learn how it works.  It was especially fun to see it with everyone:)

The Dart Wars!
Grandma got the all the grandkids some cool dart guns.  They had so much fun!  I was impressed with how well all the kids could shoot. It was the funnest thing they did.

The Blue Team
The Red Team

TWO guns, and still could shoot good!

Ty and Rachel pretty much slaved away all weekend doing all the cooking.  Thank you!

After Old Faithful, we all went to the Bear and Wolves Habitat place down the street.  The first day we went, I forgot my camera:( Luckily it was good for 2 days.  We went back a second day to see their biggest bears come out.  They were huge!  Over 1,000 pounds. It was well worth going.  We also got to see the wolves there as well.  They are way scarier than I would have guessed.  It was fun for the kids to get to see animals a little more up close.  We also got to see the wolves get fed.  I was expecting them to throw in some elk carcass and see them go at it, but no.  Just some slabs of meat hidden for them to find.  Not as cool, but fun to learn about them:)

These two girls are just so cute together:)

All the grandkids!

They loved getting to attack Grandpa!

Happy birthday to Brittyn (it was a week after our reunion)
Mike's birthday was Sunday while we were camping.  We had delicious cheesecake for him and got to sing.  If only I could have gotten a picture of him like Brittyn eating cake;)
I love you Michael, Happy 32:)

On Sunday, Mike's birthday, everyone went out to Mammoth Caves, except for me, the kids, Kim and Brittyn.  I opted out this one.  I was so tired from all the busy, I wanted to just relax and enjoy sitting and reading my book.  It was still kind of crazy with the kids, but by now, I'm used to them:)  I figured since it was Mike's day, he could go explore without children for the day.  I heard it was really pretty at the caves.

Hanging out playing games and making bracelets for Grandma's class.

I had to get another picture of Baby Auri:)

On our way home, we stopped at Mud Volcano.  It was a pretty cool place.

This was half the drive toward the east side.  Sad, I don't know how long ago the fire was, but there was a lot burned.  We actually passed a small fire they were putting out during our drive.  The west side was definitely the place to go.

We have no idea what this place was/is, but it was super cool and spooky. (Close to Cody)
