Our little early bird

What absolutely crazy last few days these have been!! So I was at my last day of work Tues and all of the sudden my water broke! Crazy! I was a bit upset at first, she wasn't supposed to come until the 1st! Ah! (her due date was July 6th, 13 days early) But I called my midwife to see if we had time to come to Ut. I was having no pain or contractions so she said to jump in the car and come on down.

My friend called Mike while I was getting things to leave and he wasn't answering. So we called Toni and had her run to the house to tell him to pack and get ready. My water broke at 2pm, I got home and we were on the road by 3pm. Lincoln was so cute, he was so excited running all over while we packed fast. He could tell something was up.

The whole drive to the hospital was wonderful! Our plan was to stop in Evanston if things started coming along, but nope. I had maybe 3 small contractions that I could barely even tell were there. It was actually a fun trip there, so exciting:) We pulled in just a few minutes past 5pm. Seriously, I know it was no accident! As we pulled into our parking spot at the hosp, I got my first big contraction. It was PERFECT timing. My family was there waiting for us to take Linc and Ty wheeled me upstairs.

After we finished with all the paperwork and getting into the room it was about 5:30pm. The nurses did their thing, and after just a bit the contractions started to get worse fast, so I got my epidural, which was wonderful! It wasn't even 30 minutes after I got it the nurse came to check me and she was ready to come. They were not excited because I only had about an hour of the antibiotic and needed 4 hrs, but she was not waiting any longer! She was born at 7:18pm! Fast little girl! I'm just so grateful that she waited until we got to the hospital to start coming! It was such a rush and so much fun.

Oh yeah, it took her a little longer to come out. She was face up and while I was pushing, her heart rate dropped a bunch, so they ended up using the vacuum. My midwife had to the Dr come in just in case, but she came out quick after that and was good. A little scary for a few seconds, but she was a trooper.

They kept her in transition for quite a while. Because I didn't get all the antibiotic they did a bunch of blood tests on her, which all came out good. They had to stick her 5 times to get an iv in. The second attempt in her head finally worked. I'm surprised Mike watched it! At least he stayed in the room with me this time while I got my epidural. Good job Mikey!:)

Her eyes were like this for a while after she came, it was like she was super alert and nervous.

It was super fun because Tenille was just across the hall from me! She had a c-section and had to stay longer with Koban, so we got to be there together and were discharged on the same day. It was esp fun for my family to be able to play with 2 babies at the same time.

Koban is such a darling!! I love his hair color! He totally looks like Jon!

I had to get a pic of their hair.

Me and Tenille with our sweet babies:)

Lincoln was NOT happy at all. It was definitely bedtime. They said he was fine the whole time they had him. The only times he acted like this was when I was around. Little punk!

Oh so cute! They are gonna make a cute little family! They are so cute together!

Aunt Anna with Sequoia

Her and Uncle Ty. Ty was so good with Linc this week! We really appreciate it! Thanks Ty!

Aunt Kim and Sequoia, she gave her the cute outfit, which by the way, in all our frantic of packing and running out the door, nope, we didn't bring one little thing for her! Not even her carseat! What great parents! Luckily Tenille and Jon had an extra one and let us borrow it. Man on man!

Nana and Papa got to come visit and see the little ones as well. Its so nice to get to live close to them now!

So Lincoln. He is definitlely not a fan of her right now. At the hospital he hardly even looked at her. He whined and whined everytime he was around me. It was so weird knowing that we have 2 kids now! We are really going to try to give him a lot of attention. It was so funny, he woke up this morning and came downstairs and the look on his face when he saw her was awesome. It was like, "What!? She is still here!?" Every once in a while he will look at her, but not much. But I did notice when she cries he is very concerned. I'm sure he'll be ok sometime, please!

So happy to see his Mommy!

This was pretty much the only attention Linc gave her while in the hosp. Although, right after the pic he gave her a kiss, it was so sweet!

I don't know how she did it, but Lincoln finally fell asleep in my mom's arms after being super grumpy.

It was a precious moment!!

So... here we are! We came home Thursday evening with a new baby! Since we were planning on having her next week and doing all this fun stuff then, we are going to take advantage of a whole week wide open and go to St G! It will be fun to go spend some time with Mike's family with her. And I feel seriously 99% better than I did with Lincoln after I had him. It has been so good! I guess I also have some good drugs as well, but really this has been so fast and so good that it is unreal!

I don't know why the pic is sideways, but I can't fix it, oh well!

Its only one of them, but she was hiccuping so stinkin cute! Of course as soon as you record, she stops!

Sequoia!!!

She is here! Obviously we've been a bit busy and scatter brained that I haven't had a chance to post anything. I'm super tired right now, but I will post all the details later. Sequoia Lynn Goodman is 6lb 10oz 191n born Tues June 23, 2009 at 7:18pm We are just loving her!

Koban and Sequoia, the little cousins got to be in the hospital at the same time:)
They both have awesome hair!

Koban is here!

Yeah! I'm officially a real aunt!! Tenille had Koban Roy tonight around 8pm via c-section (he was breech). He is 31/2 weeks early and weighs 6lb 14oz and 191/2 in long. Not too bad for an early guy! I'm so excited! Bummer is we probably wont make it out to see them until Thursday, but we're happy for them.

I feel bad for Mikey, not a good Father's Day for him. I had to go to work right after church so he stayed home with Lincoln. Then he started to feel a bit sick, and by the time I got home, a little later than expected, he was puking all kinds of yuck. He's achy all over and just doesn't want to move. Poor sweetie. Its much worse than what Linc had. I feel even worse because I work the next 2 days. My friend is going to watch Linc tomorrow, so hopefully Mikey can get some good rest.

My OB apt went well. I'm dilated to a 3 now. We were planning on just coming the day before induction, but my midwife wants us to be in town a few days before just in case. She said her head was right there. So, the plan as of right now, we will go back for another apt on Thursday, go visit baby Koban, and come home. Then go back on Sunday and stay at my parents until we induce on Wed. I'm so happy that Mike has this coming week off as well as the next week. I feel so much better with him around close instead of calling him in Colorado or Alaska to hurry home. And of course its always nice to have him around, if only he felt better.

Mom, Ty and Kim watched Lincoln while I was at my apt. He had so much fun and was so crazy. He has been such a fun cool little kid lately. Mike and I absolutely love him!!

Movie time

I swear it seems to me that Lincoln throws up quite a bit. He seems to get all the yucky bugs that go around. I had a department meeting at work yesterday morning so Mikey stayed home for a few hours to watch Linc. He ended up throwing up that morning, I'm so glad it was Mike that was with him! He was acting fine after that, so I took him to the park to play at a playground (Which by the way, I really don't like playgrounds! They are so scary!!!). I shouldn't have but of course I was thinking he was fine. Anyways, he's been pretty mellow today and just whatever, its been a super nice day with him. But right before dinner as the food was warming up in the microwave, he puked everywhere. Luckily it was on the kitchen floor. Poor little guy. There has definitely been a lot of movie time for him the last few days.

Mike left on a job to Colorado yesterday, so I'm hoping he'll be home tomorrow evening. I'm glad they are starting to pick up a little more. But as always... we sure miss you sweetie!

I'm getting excited for my OB apt on Friday and see how this little one is coming along!!

Nesting

Seriously all I've been thinking this week is baby! We've been doing so much with the kids' room and its soon to be finished, yea! That's pretty much where most of my time and energy have been. I'll get pics as soon as its all finished. Just need to fix curtains and put up a rail for Linc's new bed.

Which by the way I forgot to mention, Lincoln has been sleeping in his new big boy bed for a few weeks now and is doing pretty good. The first night we heard 2 big bangs and a scream, but he's doing much better staying in his bed now. Actually, he was sleeping in his new bed, then we put the crib for Sequoia upstairs and he really wanted it, so for about 2 weeks we made it into a toddler bed and let him sleep in that to get used to his new room as well. But now we are back to the big boy bed and he's great. It was a few tired nights, but it was worth it. Poor kid, move him to a scary new room, make him sleep in a new bed in that room, and soon put a little baby in HIS crib! We'll see how it goes.

So I went to the OB this week and we scheduled July 1st to be induced! So soon! I just hope she doesn't come early! In my head she is here on the first and not a day earlier. I was dilated to a 21/2 last Tues. She's getting ready. I go back to the doc Friday and we'll see how things are going.

At Grandma's eating his delicious strawberry dessert.

Kimi was getting him to smile really good, rare.

Lincoln and Aunt Kimi

Mike has been home quite a bit and I'm loving every minute. Although it seems like now when he goes somewhere I miss him even more. He just left on a job yesterday afternoon and is already back today! The jobs he's been doing lately are super faster than others, I love it! I didn't even get a chance to miss him. I worked from 1am to 7am this morning, so I had one of my young women come sleepover at the house while I was at work. Lincoln didn't even know Mommy was gone. It was my last night shift before the baby! Yea! I have 4 more days and will be done for 12 whole weeks, nice!

My parents had to go to Mt View for a Wood Badge thing on Thursday, so they came out to our house to visit for a few hours. It was fun to have them over. We went out to eat before they had to go back for some more stuff with it.

Daddy, Linc, and Grandpa

So cute:)

Well I am hoping this week will be a bit warmer so we can get outside and play, not that I don't love all this rain we've been getting! I love rain. I'm just excited to get Linc outside and swim in our little kid pool and play in dirt and do whatever it is little boys do.

The splash park is open, yeah!

It's been a pretty good week. The splash park here in town opened last week, so me and Linc went to play. I want to go as much as we can before this little girl comes so Linc can get out and play. He had a lot of fun playing with his friends there. And hopefully we can both get some sun on our pale bodies!

His cute little outfit from Nana Kay

The water is so cold!

Mike got to stay home and play with Linc on Sat while I went UT for a bunch of things. I first went to Annie's to pick up and drop off a few things and got to hold that sweet little Damon, man that kid really is a cutie! Then I went to eat lunch with a friend and also met with Mike's friend to drop some things off to him. I had to rush to Ogden after lunch for an old friends wedding, which was pretty cool to go to. Last but not least, I went to Nana's for Tenille's baby shower. Its been fun to hang out with extended family for 3 weeks in a row now. Tenille is going to name her little boy Koban Roy. I'm getting so excited to have a little nephew.

Monica, me and the darling flower girl

So when I got home from all my fun things, I came home once again to a beautiful clean house. Mike is awesome! He seriously cleans better than me. I tell Mike if he decides to, I can go to work full-time and he can stay home and be Mommy, he'd probably be better at it.

So, this week has been pretty great. Mike and I both have the week off, I don't work until Sat night. So its been so nice to hang out at home and do whatever we want. We've been working on the room, outside, and just sitting around doing nothing. I love it:)

One of many projects finally finished

This kid was so silly, just kept spinning and spinning. He's a goon!
