For you Mikey on Christmas

This is probably only going to be fun for you Mikey to see all these MANY pics and videos for Christmas. I want you to enjoy a bit of today. Can't wait to see you, someday:)

Oh yeah, and now its poor Lincoln who is also sick. He has the croup. Oh and I'm pretty sure we wont be going anywhere. The power steering fluid is leaking AGAIN! I'm furious! Pretty sure I wont be making it home for work on Monday. I'm just hoping a dealership or mechanic place will be open tomorrow. Ugh!

So stinkin cute!!

He loved this fleece Lightening McQueen blankie from Grandma P.

She was sitting up on her own for a bit

Of course the wrapping paper.

He opened everyone's presents. Even those who weren't there yet.

3 years

Where to begin? I always get behind and have to do fast catch up. I haven't been as good getting pics up for Mike while he's gone this time. Sorry! So Mike is gone (shocking!) on a job in Texas/Oklahoma. He's been gone since the 17th. We figured out that by the end of the month we will have slept in the same bed 6 nights this month. He's been gone for school and a few jobs and I've been doing some extra grave shifts. Anyways, pretty sure Mike wont be home until after the new year so it looks like me and the kids get to have 2 Christmases, yeah! If weather permits, we are going to Ogden tomorrow to spend a few days at my parents house.

Our 3 year anniversary was last week and yeah totally forgot! Toni was over the night before and she asked when it was because it should be soon. I was pretty sure we had already had it, I have no idea why. (Well probably because Mike makes such a BIG deal on birthdays/anniversaries/holidays!;) I realized it was the next day and had already committed to work. It wasn't too bad until Mike called me the next day and said he was coming home and thought we could maybe go out to eat. Oops! Long story short, he came home 30 min before I had to go to work, pretty much got a smooch and ran out the door. Someone called in the next night so I worked it as well. I went in later so Mike and I could at least go out to dinner and a movie. It was perfect timing and so much fun to hang out with just me and him because at 2am that night he got called out on a job and I haven't seen him since. Sad:( (Shilayna came over at 2am to sleep over, what a wonderful friend!!!)

Quoia hasn't been feeling well these past couple days. I took her into the Dr, which was CRAZY with Lincoln, as usual. She has an ear infection and now was antibiotics. She almost weighs 15 lbs. I hope she is feel better over Christmas.

(12/24/09) We went to my family's Christmas party in St George this past weekend. I said I didn't want to go without Mike again, but we did anyway. At least this time we took my car and my dad drove, it was nice. We had fun down there. Me and the kids slept on Susan and Gary's while we were down there. It was nice to get to see them again so soon. We went to the party and got to do a lot of shopping. Its sad, its Christmas Eve and I am still not done, oh well! Between Mike gone, me working, and all our activities I've been so behind.

Lincoln & Sequoia Comparison

I just had to put a few pictures of these two when they were about the same age on here. I see so many similarities.

Pics/videos of kids

Sweet boy

He LOVES his fishy lamp from Grandma G! Its "Dayah!" to him, but then again everything is "Dayah!" (light, boots, clothes, everything!)

He is so cute playing with Sequoia. He loves to bounce her all around. He is getting cuter and cuter with her all the time.

She is getting so much fun and big so fast.

Our little scruffy boy. His hair is getting so long and not cute right now, but I'm kind of curious to see what it will look like long?? Mike??:)

My friend Heidi came over and her little girl Elle and Sequoia got to play.

We got to watch Tailee and Kadrie a couple days ago (and then got to play cards with a few girls for lunch)

Peekaboo with monkey in the laundry basket

Since you can't be with us right now Mikey, here are just a few videos so you can see these darling little ones.

She had the goofiest giggle

She is loving being in this jumper.

And the boring stuff...

So my van is still in the shop, bummer! I really miss it because this I have a lame, but very nice of them to let me use it, loaner from the dealership. So far with all the snow I can't drive up my street or even up my driveway. I got stuck tin the front of the house on our way to church this morning. I had to run to my neighbors and ask him to push me out. Awesome. I was already tired from working the grave so I by then I was almost in tears. (Meghan slept over and watched the kids while I was gone.) I've had some adventures with vehicles lately. Twice in 2 months I ran out of gas with the van, one being on I15. It died on the ramp getting into Beaver. As I was about to get the kids out and walk the 1/2 mile to the gas station, some guys stopped and got me a gas can. And this is the 2nd time the power steering fluid hose has burst. (Sad that something so simple has kept it so long!)

Mike is on a job in Casper, well I guess waiting to do a job there. I hope we'll get to see him before we go to St George this next weekend. I've been so blah this week while he's been gone. Hopefully it wont be as frequent soon. I sure miss him.

I'm going Christmas shopping tomorrow, I'm such a slacker! We'll see how the kids do shopping with Mommy for a few hours!

The Scary Santa Man

K it was so cute, well to me, what happened to Lincoln last night. He was in bed and I was about to take Sequoia up to bed as well when I heard him start screaming, like a hurt scream. So I hurried up and found him stuck at the bottom of the bed; the sheets were tucked in all around and he couldn't get out. Poor boy was so scared. I showed him where to get out and he held on to me for a while. It was just way too cute! I sure love that little boy!

We've had a pretty good week. Although Mike has a new position, he is even more busy than before, shocker. He is now in Denver giving his break out presentation. (Good luck sweetie!). He should be back Thursday and then go on a job this weekend. Never ending busy guy:(

We went to the ward Christmas party this past week. It was fun to hang out with everyone and see Santa. As you can see by the picture, Lincoln LOVED sitting on his lap! Sequoia, whatever. She has been such a sweet little girl, mellow, and I'm loving her! Let's just hope she doesn't get an attitude like her Mommy! I got to go to the temple with the youth on Saturday for baptisms for the dead. It was a great experience to get to be there with them. Thanks so much to Mikey for taking care of the kids while I was gone! I came home for 2 hours and went to work for the night. He is a great guy to be with them all day long, especially while he was stressing about his break out.

Whatever.

Checking Santa out...

Nope!
(And wow! Please excuse that chubby body! I don't think I'm chunky until I see a picture of myself like that! A good incentive to workout tomorrow!)

So right before I went to work I realized that the van wasn't in driving condition (earlier that morning it was leaking a whole bunch of power steering fluid, which happened only like 2 months ago) so I had to find a car to get me to work, Shilayna's. So anyways, the van has been in since Monday so we have been home unable to go anywhere, luckily I don't work during the week this week. But really, hasn't affected us too much since I don't like to go outside anyway, and with the snow, its been super nice to be inside. Sunday on my way home it was 3 degrees, but the wind chill, below 20!!! Crazy!!

Blah, blah, blah. So, Sequoia is rolling all over the room now and getting into some things. I started feeding her cereal today. It was all over! It is fun to start something new with kids. She did ok. She's been eating so much every 2 hours that I figured it was time. She rarely laughs still, and now that I think of it, Lincoln wasn't the most smiley baby either, oh well! But when they do laugh, I love it even more! Super tired, good night!

He tried on Bonnie's big boots

As you can see, Lincoln loves playing with the tree, what kid isn't facinated by all those lights. I had actually come home from St George and Mike had put this up while I was gone, what a sweetie!

Bye:)

Great News!!!

Mikey is now EIC (Enigeer in Charge) at his shop. That means Mon-Fri, 8-5pm! He will still go out on some jobs, but not nearly as often as he was. And no more "days off," but thats ok! He is actually in Vernal right now just getting off a job. Things should settle down the beginning of the year. That means we might actually get to plan our life/days out a little more and do things here more often. Yea!! I am very happy:) Good job Mikey, you're going to be great! I might even start making you dinner more often.

Me and the kiddos got home at midnight Friday night from our Utah trip. I worked half a shift last Monday, went out to lunch with Mike, then picked up the kids and we headed to my parents for the night. Lincoln is doing better and better every time we go there. He's really liking it there. We left the next morning and picked up Mike's cousin Tyler and he rode with us to Cedar. Lincoln: wonderful, did not cry once; just stared at the tv. Sequoia: cried straight from Fillmore to Beaver, stopping along the way. Awesome. I don't think Tyler will have children for a very long time. I'm not sure if he is, but I was SO grateful that he came down with us. He helped me out so much. It was a long trip though.

It was good to see all the family for Thanksgiving. Though we were all sad Mike couldn't make it; he was on-call all week. We played lots of games and had kids running and playing everywhere. Even though I was a big fat grouch without my sweetie with me, it was sure fun. We had to leave Friday after lunch. I had to work Sat night so we had to get back. I was planning on staying the night at my parents again but I just really wanted to see Mikey so we stopped and visited for a bit with them and made it home. Boy oh boy! There is nothing better in this world than being at home with your family:)

Sequoia is rolling a bit more now, I finally got to see her do it last week at my parents house. She also started to giggle a little while we were gone too. Finally! I've been waiting and waiting to hear that sweet little laugh! She is so stinkin cute and so good now! I love her so much. Oh and she was so sick Saturday after we got home. I thought it was a miracle the kids weren't sick in St George, they always get something during that time. At least she waited till the day after. She threw up like 7 or 8 times like a bunch every time. She was still good, just not feeling so hot. Poor girl. Today she is getting back to her little sweet self again.

Lincoln is crying and whining a little more when he doesn't get what he wants. Its a bit frustrating, but it could be worse, which I'm sure will be very soon. He has this thing right now with rolling down off things like the couch and stairs and landing on his head. Weird, but he just laughs. He loves his Daddy and if I say Dad's name he goes to the back door to wait, what a cutie! He is a very good smoocher and was so sweet to his little sis today. He picked her up (with my help and something that he has never done) and gave her a big hug and held her on his lap. It made my day!! He still doesn't like anybody to touch him, but he will on his own terms:)

We were going to give Linc a bath and when I walked in to put him in it, he had come in before and decided to give bunny and his blankie a bath as well. What a nut!

I love her happy little self!

We cut her hair a few days ago; I think it looks SO much better all the same length now.
We sure love these two little munchkins!

"Ready, Set...... GO!!" I only got a few seconds of this but they did this forever, it was so funny!
