Thanksgiving

I'm not good at all at keeping up with life. I always think, "oh I need to hurry and write this down!" Oh yeah, never do. So let me see if I can think real good and remember our lives...

So the Thursday before last was wonderful!!! I had the day off and was at home with Linc and I heard who I thought was Nate and Derrick coming home from a job, so I got the door and it was my sweet husband!!! That little stinker! He told me he had one more job to do in Alaska and would be home in a couple days. The job canceled and he didn't tell me, so when I was talking to him the night before he said he was walking into the hotel and was going to go to bed, I was sad and wanted to keep talking a little longer, but he insisted so I said goodnight. So I guess he was walking into the airport and didn't want me to hear. (little sneaker!) He flew home all night and had a friend pick him up at the airport in RS. What a wonderful surprise! I seriously would have cried if Derrick hadn't have been standing there with him. I sure love that little rascal!

Mike ended up using the rest of some extra days he had and got to stay home all weekend. It was so fun to have that grouch around (I love you:) It was super nice because I worked Sat, Sun, and Mon graves (12.5 hr shifts, yuck!) and he got to be home with Lincoln while I worked and slept, which by the way doesn't work for me! I am a mean grouch (we are perfect for each other:) when I work nights!

Mike was SO happy to be daddy daycare Sat. I got 13 of my friends together and we all went to see Twilight! It was wonderful. I loved every minute. They did such a good job! Seriously, Bella was perfect.

A friend of mine here in town took our family pictures on Tues. It was a miracle that Mike was so compliant! For anyone who knows Mike, you know exactly what I mean. It was a beautiful day for being the end of November! Esp no wind! I'm excited to see the pics, I hope they turn out cute:) Thanks Mikey!

We got to stay home and be bums the rest of the night and most of Wednesday. Oh yea, Mike also had his last volleyball game Tues night. They made it all the way to the championship game, but lost. He did great! I swear, I had no idea Mike was good at volleyball, even played the sport, till just a few months ago, weird.

We headed out for Ogden Wed evening to hang out with the fam and eat some pie. Later me, mom, the twins, and their friends all went to see Twilight, two for me. Loved it the second time around, can't wait for the third with Mikey! It was fun to spend time with the girls and mom:)

We went to Nana's for Thanksgiving lunner. It was a rough morning with this little munchkin in my belly, so the food wasn't appealing, none of it is these days. I'm just trying to actually keep it in. But everyone else said it was delicious. We went to the school by her house and played with Daniel's frisbees. The boys and I headed for home that evening. It's always nice to be back after trips.

I had to work Friday, and when I got home I got a great surprise! Mikey had cleaned the house, did laundry, fixed Linc's door, finished painting the bathroom, so much! He is awesome to get so much done in such little time. I wish he was around more often. The house these days isn't the best, I'm just not up to par. (ha ha, Mike just taught me some golf lingo and that phrase makes total sense now!)

That night we got a babysitter (Meghan) and Mike and I went on an official date. We haven't done that in a very long time! It was so nice to just be with my sweetie. I went to the movies and saw Quantom of Solace. It was ok; I liked Casino Royale better.

Mike left this morning for Texas. He will be down there for 2 weeks for CML school. We hear it's pretty hard, so I hope he does well! (I'll be thinking of you:) Hopefully these next two weeks will go by good and fast. I am working a lot again, so it probably will.

Oh yea, so I forgot to say last time, we are due July 6. They will be exactly 18 months apart, perfect.

It's 11:24pm and I'm tired! Just got finished watching GG with Bonnie. I'll post pics later...

Guess what....

We're gonna have another little Lincoln! (Yes the rumors are true) Some days it's exciting news, other days, not so much. But yea anyway! A few weeks ago I just felt different. It wasn't the same as last time I was pregnant, so I wasn't for sure. I finally decided to go get the test. But of course on the way to the store to get it I drank my lovely Dr. Pepper just in case; I had to enjoy that last one if it was! It was a happy and sad moment all in one when it said positive. My first thought was "No more Dr P??!!" (it was a very rough first few days, but I'm over the worst) And it was perfect timing for Mike! He had already said goodbye and was on his way to California, I thought! I called him to tell him the wonderful news over the phone and before I said it, he said he was on his way for a half hour before they had to leave. Yea! It was fun:) He's super excited!

Anyways.... We went to the wedding and loads of fun down in St G. We got to see everyone, go to the temple and see them get married (the best!), hang out and be lazy, play lots of games, eat Cafe Rio twice, go on a hike then go to Mesquite... It was fun for Linc to get to play with his grandparents he doesn't get to see much. And I'm so grateful for Shelley for watching Linc while we were at the wedding.

I woke up from a nap and found Lincoln was a girl!

He would make such a pretty girl with those blues!

On the way home, we stopped in Ogden for a couple hours to see my family. We had some yummy food and got to hang out and chat for a bit. It was really nice to have to drive the whole way back. It's a 7.5 hr trip. Yuck. On the way there, we made it there at 3am! We were so sleepy, but it was totally worth it because Lincoln slept the whole time.

Mike and I both took Monday off. It was so nice to just be home and get everything done that needed and just be together. We even got to go out on a date that night while Marlene was so nice to watch Linc. Derrick came with us, but I still consider it a date, whatever:) Bonsai, delicious!

We went back to work and real life when Mike had a brilliant idea for us to go to SLC Thursday. I'm so glad! He had to fly out on Friday morning for Alaska, again, so we went down to Ogden and dropped Linc off at my parents (which we are so grateful!) and headed to SLC and stayed in a hotel that night just the two of us. Wonderful. Between Mike and I both working all the time, the recent trips, and his friends living with us at the moment, we hardly ever get time alone. I'll let you what, it was priceless! Now I miss him even more! They just started a job this afternoon and will be doing 2 more, so we are hoping he'll be home Thursday. Please! (Big huge blog smooch to you Mikey!)

Today was not the best day! It hardly felt sick with Linc, but this kid! I barely made it to church. I hope it goes away soon! My poor house is awful. I haven't wanted to do anything. And next week I get to work 40+ hours. Yea, not really. Not excited. But enough complaining! That's my goal this week is to be nicer and not complain as much. (I've been so mean and grouchy lately!) I'll make it a better week:)

Happy Halloween

Linc and his cute little puppy costume (thanks Grandma P!)

(these two are Linc trying on his costume when the Phisters came to visit)

For Halloween, Linc and I went to the "trunk or treat" at the stake center. I would swear almost every kid in GR was there; there were so many people! I brought some candy but am lame and didn't dress up the trunk, so we went and bummed a trunk with Marlene. It was much funner with them. I seriously was out of candy within the first 5 minutes. Oh and before I know it, Linc had a caramel kiss in his mouth. He'd sucked all the chocolate out and was just sucking on the wrapper. Twice! I guess it was Halloween. We got to see a few friends and there costumes, then headed back home. Once we were settled and ready, we got 5 different sets of trick or treaters. (I saved some candy before we left just in case). Anyways, it was fun to play with Linc and dress him up. Bonnie came over later and we watched GG (surprise, surprise!)

This is my friend Jen and her little boy Dallin. I loved their costumes!! (No I did not dress up, boring Mom!)

So once again, Mike is on another long job. They had to go out middle of nowhere California, like 17 hr drive. He left Wed night. They finished the job last night, so he should be home Tuesday evening and I can't wait! K, it's getting kind of old being a single mom. I had the worst day at church yesterday. Lincoln would not hold still. He didn't cry or anything, he's just really loud and all over the place. Yes, I have a boy. I'm just going crazy without Mike. One of the young women even asked me after church if she could take him for a while for me today. She said I looked like I needed it. That was sweet. After his long nap after church, I cooled off and was better, but geesh! Bad day!

Lincoln is now just a ball of energy these days! He's been driving me crazy with this little whine he has through out the day. I finally looked in his mouth again and seriously 6 teeth on the top look like they are about to come out. They were all puffy and swollen. Poor baby:( I guess I'll have to be a lot more patient with him now that I see the reason. This kid is awesome though. I hope we have more boys just like him. Our bad day with him is somebody else's good day, I just need to remember that at the moment.

He's my little man! Loves his noodles just like his mommy

:)

He loves being in the middle of the kitchen! It's the perfect place while I'm running around trying not to be late every morning.

Lincoln crawling up the stairs; we are still practicing the going down part. I love those fat little thighs! I'm trying to beef this kid up!

He was so funny that day! He was laughing a lot harder, of course, before I whipped out the camera. He just makes me laugh:)

I'm so happy that Mike will be home soon! It will be perfect timing. I work Wed and we are planning on leaving for St G either Wed evening or Thur morning. Can't wait! We need a break. Wish we could go to Mesquite, but no time this trip. I need a message!! Mike, I love you and am so excited to see you!
