~ I found this sweet wooden chair at a "garage sale" in Vegas. This cute old man was selling them for $40. I loved them, but couldn't get one because they were way more than I could afford. His little old wife came and found me later and said he lower the price to $25. So right before it was over I saw them loading up and leaving. I asked them how many they sold and they said ZERO. Oh my heart broke! I wish I could have bought all of them, but I at least got one. Yes, I'm a sucker and I can't help it!
~Both kids got to play soccer this year. Finally Quoi got to play! It was fun to get to watch them play. They both tried out being keeper like their Daddy, but both decided it isn't was fun as they thought. I'm so happy Mike was able to come to the games as well. Grandma, Grandpa, Steve and Nicole even got to come to a few. It's so wonderful to have family so close, and we actually like being by each other;) Oh and the picture of Mike and Auri, my favorite!!!
~Auri is our dress-up girl. I finally have one!!
~Look who scored braces! I wore braces when I was 14 and 15, but did I follow the instructions and wear my retainers, NO!! Seriously folks. Wear your retainer. My teeth started to shift and I was getting an awesome snaggle tooth. I went in to the Orthodontist just to get new retainers (mine had broken years ago) and Oh that office was so good! They convinced me to get braces, fix the problem, then get a permanent retainer. Like I said earlier, I'm a sucker so of course I dropped some big cash and got the braces to fix a tiny problem. I only have them for 6 months, and YES, I will be wearing my retainers when I'm done! But for right now I enjoy looking even younger than I did before!
~ Our sweet boy got his tonsils out over Easter break. It was the perfect time because he wouldn't miss as much school. And we couldn't wait till school got out because when Mike will be done working and we won't have our sweet insurance. WAAA! :( He is a deep sleeper, snores, and is so dang tired all the time. I think it ended up hurting him more than he expected that first day. He was so sad, but still very brave. Aunt Annie is awesome and watched the girls bright and early till later in the afternoon so I could take care of him. It was wonderful.
He did love getting a ton of extra time playing video games and watching tv. And his favorite part about it all was that he got to eat endless amounts of popsicles and ice cream. Although, I will be honest, I did notice that week had a slight affect on Lincoln's mood. He was so sweet and easy going before. I'm not sure if it was because I pretty much let him do whatever he wanted for a week or what, but he changed just a bit after. He is a bit more grouchy and more snippy with me. I'm sad:( I'm sure it's probably a phase and that he's growing up. I love parenting! Always changing and never a dull moment when we wish it were:)
~The kids helped me plant our plants this Spring. Even though we don't quite have the house for gardening, but do what we can. And I really enjoy working outside with the kids. They are so much fun.
~One of the best moments for the kids!: A few months ago they really wanted and almost bought (with their own money) The Kaos Trap. Seriously this thing was running from $75-100+! Crazy. They ended up buying the Infinity game and some characters (still $75!) and that contented them for a while. They starting asking about it again so we all sat down and looking on Ebay to see if someone had it. They were $13, shipping included!! Oh their faces were priceless then they saw that. It paid to wait. They were freaking out and jumping all over the place when it got here.
