Busy Busy!!

So I first just want to start out and brag about how wonderful my husband is! I came home Tuesday night from Ogden and had the best surprise! Mike had cleaned the whole entire house! I'm talking every little thing: organized each room, vacuumed (moving furniture), filed papers, even dusted!! It was so great, I cried:) He is such a sweetie...

31/2 months old and Linc is already getting his first hair cut. K his hair was so gross in the back! I know the after isn't good either, but it looks so much better. He has very little hair on the top, but the back looked like a mullet. And I don't care who you are, mullets are not cute! (It was a mix b/w a mullet and Hitler's stache)

These last two weeks have been crazy!! I got to go back to the hospital and finish up my clinical hours. I'm really gonna miss that place. But I finally get to live in Green River! Yeah! I'm so stinkin excited! Me and Linc went to Ogden the Sat before last and stayed all week. He had a fun little week. He got to play w/lots of different people while I went to work. Poor kid, I felt I was just passing him all over! Monday his Aunt Tenille watched him. My friend Hilary watched him on Tuesday. (And bless her heart she made the day interesting! I think from now on I'll explain a little better what he's used to). My mom played w/him Wed and Aunt Diana got to play w/him Thursday. We were so happy that she was so willing and excited. She has a Lincoln of her own that makes it fun.

Aunt Diana and the sweater she made him
And poor Diana. I just gave her the bag and left. When Lincoln is hungry he is a monster! He will scream till he gets it. Well I shoved the nipple to the bottles down in the bag and she couldn't find it. She said it had been a while and was desperately waiting for Rand to come home to go buy one till she finally found it. I go crazy in just a few minutes of preparing it. I can only image... Sorry!!

Karla's hubby Mike. I thought it was crazy how huge his hands are next to Linc!!
My cousin Hannah came and stayed the night while I was at my parent's.

Mikey got to come to Ogden and play w/us Thursday afternoon. It was so nice to go to the temple that evening. Ogden is still the closest temple to us (which by the way I just love that temple!!!). It makes me appreciate them even more now that we don't have one just down the street like we did when we first got married. I'm really glad we took the time to go. Friday night we went out w/Tyson and Danielle. They just had a little baby boy, Cade, a few weeks ago and I am so sad we didn't take any pictures!! I never remember. Mikey got to meet up w/an old friend of his, Brian Pitt, later that night at Chilis. And yes we got the best desert ever, the Molten Chocolate Cake! I love it so so much!

Linc was so funny! Mike just got finished feeding him and set the bottle down and Linc just stared at the bottle like Mommy stares at chocolate

Brian and his twinner Linc. I loved that they were matching...

We came home Saturday because Mike had, I mean he had the wonderful opportunity, to speak in church w/the Elder's quorum presidency the next day. (Which I missed because I was outside w/a screaming baby! I couldn't figure out what was wrong and why he was so mad. I passed him off to a friend of mine. I was interested in being his mom at the moment. Then about 45 minutes later I learned a few good lessons. One, always bring the diaper bag out w/you when the baby cries so you don't have to run back in. Two, babies don't like it when they have a massive load of crap all over their back. And Three, always bring an extra change of clothes w/you where ever you go:))

He loves playing w/his tongue

Oh yeah! And Lincoln rolled over his past week!! We were at Grandma's in Ogden. Anna put him on his belly and a few seconds later, yeah!! He did it like 7 more times that night, then a few times for Daddy when he came out the next day, and has only done it once since. I guess he decided cool, whatever, not that fun...

Linc and I took off for Ogden again that Sunday night. I'm so grateful that he is a wonderful little traveler! Harry Potter comes on and he falls right to sleep. Kim is taking a Child Development class at her high school and had Lincoln come be a model. They were testing his baby reflexes. He did pretty good. On the way home we stopped to see the Rheads. Max wasn't home, but we got to see Lawanna (they were my next door neighbors growing up in Plain City; close enough to be my grandparents). I stopped by Monica Martinez's house. I hadn't seen her since my sophomore year 7 years ago! She was my best friend growing up and it was so good to see her and have her see Linc. Life changes in so many crazy and good ways.

Lawanna Rhead and Linc:) (I wish Max was there!)

So anyways, we made it back home to this lovely clean house Tuesday night and are so happy to be here w/Mikey:) I'm so excited to be able to be here and to actually get to live w/my husband! It's gonna be great. Only 2 more weeks of school, 3 till I take my boards. Mike would agree w/me that I wish it was sooner! I have been such a grump!! I'm so stressed and worried about the boards! I've been studying away and being mean. I need to get it together and be happy for my fam:)

Here are some pictures of our house...

No we do not like yellow! One of these days we'll get around to painting it, but for now we are sunshine yellow! And it's also a bad time of year w/this ugly grass. Whatever...

This extension is only a few years old

The extended dining room

His friend Nate and Mike redid the tile in the kitchen and both bathrooms last summer. I absolutely love it! I had been traveling back and forth as usual and when I'd come home, Mike surprised me by tiling the kitchen countertops as well. I think it looks really good.

It's not much but I love my house! This summer I hope to get some painting and some other projects done. I'll finally have the time! Yeah! (And we'll be able to save hundreds of $ ea month on gas. A few months I was spending up to $400!)

My Nana Zizmer made him this quilt:)

No we do not have a bed, just mattresses on the floor. One day, not in a hurry, whatever:)

Goodbye Party

Last Friday the "first year students" through a party for my class. It was way fun but still kind of sad because it's over. I'm sad, but yet so so happy to be able to be at home w/Linc and not have to drag him all over the place. He's been a trooper. I'm just gonna miss all my friends I've made! (It was cowboy theme, obviously)

No, Daddy was not very happy about the mustache we drew on him. I warned everybody, but they insisted; daddy is not a country fan... I thought it was cute:)

Video Games

Lincoln and Daddy today after church

I'm so so happy:)

It's been such a fun and relaxing last few weeks, for the most part. I had Spring Break a few weeks ago so I got to stay at home all week for the first time in a while! I got some cleaning and organizing done, and lots of playing w/Linc. But it didn't last forever:( I went back to the hospital this last week. It was so nice of my CI to let me take like 3 months off so I could spend some time w/the baby. Time is up now, but it is actually kind of nice to get back into things and get to work again. I missed it! I'm finishing up my hours at Intermountain Medical Center, the new hosp built in Murray, UT. It's so nice and cool equipment! I love it! Out of 1500 hours, I have about 30 left. I'm so happy to almost be done w/school (Wahoo!), but sad to be done at the hosp. It's been a really good experience. I'm hoping I can find a really good job out here in Wyo and get to work. Me and Linc were actually going to leave today, Sunday, to go to Ogden and stay w/my fam, but the roads are closed because of snow storms, so darn, have to stay home:) We'll try tomorrow evening... So sad:)
5 MORE WEEKS AND COUNTING! (school)

These last 2 weeks have been especially fun because Tyrel came to stay w/us! Him and Mike do this every year (usually around Christmas, but we were a bit busy). They play video games for almost 2 straight weeks. Day and night, sleeping as little as possible. I had a lot of fun, too. I got to sit and hang out w/them and read or watch movies or whatever, as long as I'm not a disturbance! (Which always ends up the case) No, it was fun w/him here. I hope he can come back soon! Lazy lazy fun:)

Uncle Ty was so good w/Linc; he even babysat him a couple times while Mike and I ran errands

K so you'd think people would tell us this, or maybe it's just a known to everybody but me and Mikey, but we didn't know if baby's favor one side more, their head can become misshapen. Well now we know too late! Lincoln has a little doll under his blankie because for the first 2 months he only looked to the right side. His head was totally flat on that side! We didn't even notice till the Dr pointed it out! We've been having him look to the other side all the time now, but the doc said if it doesn't get better by 4 months, he has to wear a helmet! Our poor little special baby!

Aunt Anna w/Linc

My parents, the twins and Ty all went to Mt Rushmore last weekend and stopped on their way to see us! More Linc than us but whatever:) They just stopped for about a half hour, but it was fun to have them over! On their way home they dropped off Anna and Kim and they hitched a ride w/me and Linc to Ogden later that night. It was fun to have more traveling buddies:)

The other Uncle Ty, and just as happy as ever!

I have been getting into Harry Potter and love it! It's only like 10 years later than everyone else! Since I drive so much (it's a 3 hr drive to SLC) I wanted to get books on CD. I'm obsessed! It's been so much fun to watch the movies after I finish a book. And it's especially nice for me to have something to do all the time while those boys were playing. Because I should be studying, I was only going to listen to them in the car. But I just can't help it! I got the book from the library cuz one of the cds skipped, but now I just can't stop reading! But I'm justifying and saying it's better than sitting around and watching TV!

Which by the way, the writer's strike is over! I'm so lame!! I became a TV junky over Christmas break, just sitting around waiting to have a baby. We have some shows we just love, more I, but ya know... Scrubs! Grey's Anatomy, Prison Break (not as good now though), The Office, and of course American Idol. This is the first season I've ever watched it and love it! Go Brooke! Yeah, I know I already said it, I'm lame! (As soon as our contract is up, we are getting rid of Dishnet!)

We are just loving being a mommy and a daddy! It's so fun to watch each new little thing children learn as they grow. Linc is 3 months old and has been smiling so much and just talking away (in his own words). He still sleeps so much, we are sooo grateful for that! I hope he continues to love all his nap times! His Grandma and Grandpa Phister get to see him almost every week, but not Grandma and Grandpa Goodman, so we are hoping that we will be able to make another trip down there really soon before he's too big!!! (And so we can get in the sun and give this little boy a tan!) Hehe Mike, just kidding!:)

He loves his hands! He just can't get enough!

I love the grumpy face Lincoln!
