Our family reunion was over Memorial Day weekend this year and was crazy! Every single one of the families had life changing events going on. Grandma's brother Dow died:(, Grandpa found my room flooding due to a hose left on from rotten grandchildren and on top of that, he retired from Skywest after 30+ years. Scott got a new job that week, Ty and Rachel moved to San Diego for Rachel's new job following the reunion, Mike and I had just quit and moved our lives to St George, Steve had a couple days left of his accounting job before quitting to partner with the new store, and Morgan was starting a new job in St George in a few weeks and they were moving down...... So with all that, it's just seemed to work out perfect that we could all meet together at Kim and Steve's in Cedar City.
Mike and I were in charge this year. We got the food on the way there and we all pretty much just hung out at the house all weekend. It was a very low-key reunion, and much needed. We played a lot of games with the kids and just the adults (always my favorite), we went to church, played on the slip-and-slide, and half the adults went on a hike to Kannaraville Falls. Mike, Grandma, Ty and I all stayed behind with the kids. (An adventure all in itself:) And we ate lots and lots of food. I really enjoyed the time together.
But I was a bit sad I wasn't able to go camping with the Phister side that weekend. Maybe next year!:)
Handbanz, way fun playing with the kids:)
Harlee, Me and Aunt Annie
The Goodman Girls! (And Kim's pants...)
We had a fun little girl's night on Saturday night (the boys went to Iron Man 3 Friday night) We went to The Great Gatsby. I loved it! A bit depressing, but they did a good job. I'm so happy we were all able to get together and chat. Just love these girls:)
An innocent game of Fibber
Our sweet Auri
Cute little babe amidst the chaos.
Cutest little cousins
They had a fun game of charades too. Lincoln was a spider and Sequoia was Curious George. I was so surprised because she was amazing at acting. She's usually shy. I love seeing her different moods.
Cold little girls on a windy day!
Lincoln was a pro in the slip-and-slide. No fear little man! :)
I love my families. The one I was born into, and also the one I married into. I love the time we get to spend with them. I love to see the kids playing with their cousins and so happy. Families are wonderful. Thanks be to God for the Plan of Salvation and the plan he's set up for us that we can be together forever. So happy and blessed:-)
