My favorite time of the year! I love January. I get to start all over and try again. And of course it's Lincoln and my birthdays! I love getting to almost share birthdays with my cute boy. It's a special time:)
We got to go to Aunt Annie's house for New Years Eve. It was a lot of fun. She actually took the kids earlier on that day so we could be childless while we moved! All our stuff was packed into two storage units. So all day that Tuesday (NYE), Mike, me, Susan, Gary, Morgan, and Scott loaded everything up into the big huge truck we rented and put everything into the garage of our place. We had to make two trips because we have way too much stuff. It was a long day. But it nice to know that the carpets were still drying from being cleaned so we couldn't unpack everything till Wednesday. So we just got to dump and run:)
We made it to Annie's about 6pm that night. The kids played and played while the adults also got to play. We made it till midnight, yeah! Then Mike and I took Auri (while the big kids got to stay and have a sleep over) and we went back to Grandma Goodman's for one more night. We finished up everything we could that morning and when Gary and Susan brought the kids home from Annie's, we headed off to get our home ready to be ours! It's been a great place so far!
The entire brood, minus Auri (sleeping) and Ada (far away:( )
It was a fun and crazy night. We are working on Lincoln chewing with his mouth CLOSED;)
I had a wonderful birthday on the 3rd. It was a pretty normal routine during the day. The kids were so cute and sweet to me for my birthday. I loved it! As soon as Lincoln saw me he started to sing. Sweet pie! Later that night Mike let me go out with my girl friends. It was great! We went to Chili's because I had to have my Molten Chocolate Cake on my birthday. (Which is later where I realized I accidentally left my debit card there at the table and in the end weeks later of it never reappearing, we had to cancel the cards and get new ones, blah!) Then we went to the movies to see Saving Mr. Banks. I loved it and cried. It was a good reminder that I need to be a better parent.
I love my friends:) Annie, me, Shelley and Amy
Happy Birthday to my boy on the 4th! His birthday fell on a Saturday, so he didn't get to go to school and be with all his friends, so instead we went to the Cottonwood Cove Park and met up with AJ and Allie, Lincoln's friends from Arrowhead. I got to sit and chat with their mom, Sarah. He was happy:) He also wanted Brecken to come, but he was sick:(
We didn't do a friend birthday party this year. Last year was way too crazy, I need a couple more years of rest. But we did get to have our own little family party and he was super happy.
He got to wake up to a delicious cookie and milk for breakfast.
Our big 6 year old!
Oh I love this girl's face! She's been so much fun to have in our family:)
Sequoia, AJ, Anna, Lincoln and Allie
Sarah holding Auri. It was a chilly, windy day so she wasn't the happiest.
Lincoln wanted to make another Batman cake for his special day, so Quoi helped Mommy. It was fun to do something for him with her.
Our finished work. With Quoi's awesome chocolate/smartie lego piece to go with it:)
They love their Daddy! Lincoln is going to be just like him. He's got his brains already!
And that night while Daddy was brushing his teeth, they noticed Linc's first loose tooth! Lincoln is so excited! I can't believe how big my boy is!
