First Day of School, Fishing, Tile, Painting

As always, so much going on, not enough time to write it down!!  We've been doing so much around the house, updating and getting ready for our little girl!  I had some amazing friends come over and PAINT!!  They painted both Lincoln and Sequoia's room!  It was wonderful.  Mike doesn't like me to paint while I'm pregnant, so they volunteered and came right over.  (Ale, Beth and Nicole) I'll do some before and after pictures soon.  I just need to finish a couple more things in the room.  We painted them a light gray, of course.  But I'm so excited to see how it will look with all the colorful things we have for the walls!  I just need to organize my time better and do it!!

We also just did TILE everywhere!  Mike went out of town to go play with his friends for a weekend, and brought Nate home with him.  We were originally only going to do the entryway, but we found the perfect tile for super cheap, so we did all 3 bathrooms, kitchen, and entryway!  I love it. And yes, the tile is gray:)  I'll take some pictures of that asap as well.  When life slows down and I get my house a bit more organized and livable!  (The house is super upside-down right now because Nate finished doing the tile the day before we left for Yellowstone, so furniture and crap were scattered everywhere!)

I got something in the mail and it came with Styrofoam. While I was taking a shower, Quoi came into my room and was so happily said, "Mom!  We made SNOW in my room!"  Ugh. I knew exactly what is was going to be.  But, the damage was already done.  Oh well.

I'm still cleaning out the vacuum and have tiny little balls EVERYWHERE weeks later.

They found Daddy's jeans.  They crack me up.

Sorry Baby Auri, this might be the first picture I have of you in my belly.  I never remember to take pictures of me.

While Nate was in town, him and Mike went out fishing over night.  Mike brought home six big fish.  They were DELICIOUS!!!  Thanks for making me dinner:)

The kids first day of school!!

They were so excited!!  I'm so happy they get to go to the same school at the same time. It is so nice.  At first I was thinking Sequoia is too young to be going 4 days a week, but she loves it and is doing so good. Sequoia is in the Ladybug room, Lincoln is in the Butterfly room.  And what makes it super nice is that Linc has the same teachers from last year!  I love it!  It even worked out that they have the same recess time!  So they still get to play together for just a bit.

I'm loving them in school.  I miss them like crazy, and its super weird to not have them with me at all times, but I've been able to get some things done (like this blog right now;) and be alone just long enough that is is perfect.  One of my favorite things about school, is my friend takes the kids to school in the morning, and I pick up all the kids at 11:15am.  She has twins, and one is in Quoi's class, so it has been wonderful.  I get two more months of quiet time and getting prepared for this little munchkin in my belly.

He invented a new game:)
During painting time, they got to sleep pretty much anywhere they dropped.  In the hall, down stairs on the hide-a-bed, in the living room upstairs...

I know its blurry, but they were so cute!  We just finished watching Enchanted.  At the end of the movie the family dances around the house.  Linc jumped up and asked Sequoia to dance with him.  They did for a while.  It was precious:)

Here is a sneak peek at the tile we did!

The weekend before school started, we let the kids have a "camp-out" together in Quoi's room.

Waiting in the morning for Jen to pick up the kids.

Oh and one thing about this little girl.  We have struck a deal.  I get to help her choose the clothes she wears to school every day. Then when she comes home, she is welcome to change into whatever she wants to.  She will walk into the door and RUN to Lincoln's room to change!  She still says she's a boy, and wants to wear his clothes all the time.  So as long as I can doll her up all cute for school, then whatever.

I love my craft room!  While I'm in there doing something, the kids can paint, color, whatever.  All the while making the concrete floor that much prettier:)

I found this video while going through pictures. We were on our way back from our most recent trip in Utah.
Lincoln was SO excited to see his Daddy!!

Our Hogle Zoo Day

While on our little vacation to Utah, the kids and I went on a date to the Hogle Zoo.  It was so much fun.  I was so young the last time I was at the zoo I don't even remember.  So it was a new experience for all three of us.  They were so cute and so excited.  It was raining just a bit when we first showed up (we were like the 10th car there bright and early!), but it slowly died down to a perfect day.  I was actually grateful for the rain, it cut back a TON on the people there.  We left just as it was getting a bit crazy.  Now the kids want to go back so they can show their Daddy all the cool things too:)

Loved the carousel!!

This is one of my favorite pictures of them:)

We rode the train twice.  It was super fun!

I'm thinking that the giraffes where their favorite animal to see.

I love how socialable this boy is!

When we got back to Annie's house, G & G Goodman just arrived!  Annie and her family went camping for the night, so we got to hang out with the grandparents at her house.  It was fun for the kids to get some time with them.  They took us to the movie, Brave.  Oh my, did I BAWL in that one!  Loved it.  We had a good time with them (:
And this is just a quick pic of my two boys we brought to the movies;)
This girl is something else!

Playing With Cousins In Lehi & St George

Mike had his friend Brandon come up from St George to hang out for a little over a week, so I decided to take the kids and go play in Utah!  (I was originally going to go camping at my family reunion, but since my parents or brothers or sisters couldn't make it, I didn't want to camp by myself, yuck. But we still got to see family so it was worth it!)  We went straight to Annie's house and spent the weekend there (zoo, shopping with Susan, church, and just hanging out).

My beautiful pirate

Of course Lincoln sitting here while the kids are playing and running around.

The Three Musketeers!  So cute.

After church that Sunday, we loaded up and headed down to St George.  G & G had come up for a Neil Diamond concert in SLC, so they had their car as well.  I'm so happy they did because I got to drive their car down while they drove the kids in the van.  Can we say HEAVEN!!?  Oh what a peaceful drive.  I had my Pride and Prejudice audio book with me the whole way.  Love that book and loved being alone.

We loved being at Grandma's house too!  We stayed there for four days playing.  We went to the splash pad and little wading river place downtown with Kim and the girls. And of course while we were there, Lincoln whipped it out and peed on the small patch of grass with a ton of people by him.  That was pretty embarrassing, luckily most everyone just laughed. Geesh!  I went shopping with Grandma Great to a few places and had a good time with her.  (At DI I found a book I'd been wanting to read, The Kingdom and the Crown, I was so excited!) We went with Kim and the girls to a park and almost died from the heat!  It was so nice to be with family, have the kids be around their cousins, and just relax for a while.

We got to have a fun little tea party and tell silly stories with Grandma and Grandma Great:)
And have a surprise birthday party for Grandma!!  The kids were SO excited!!  They loved that it was her birthday all day long!

Surprise!!

According to Grandma, one of her favorite moments... Dancing in the rain with Quoi.  Precious:)

Thursday morning we packed up again and headed for Ogden to go see Grandma Phister.  Grandpa and Ty were out of town camping, so she was happy to get to see the little ones.  Everyone (except Anna, girls camp) came over to say hi for a while.  It was nice to get to sit and chat with my fam and have a good time.  Last minute and late that night, me and Grandma decided to take the kids to Kim and Tanner's softball game she asked us to go to.  It ended up being a long night, but I'm glad we went.  The kids loved watching the game.

The next morning Grandma came with us to the DI in Ogden.  I had bought book #2 of The Kingdom and the Crown series in St G, so when I went to this one, I was so stinkin happy to find #1 there!  Yeah!  Now I just need to find the time to read them.  We went and ate at Sizzler while Tenile was working and hung out with her for a while.  She gave me some delicious steak seasoning to take home with me.  Yum!

I was so tired after lunch and was a little worried about our 8 hour trip home, so I did it, I bought a Dr Pepper!  It was a fountain and I was so excited to finally have just one!   It was disgusting.  So instead of just taking it as a sign that I shouldn't drink Dr Pepper while I'm pregnant, I just drove to a different gas station.  I dumped the fountain and bought a delicious bottled drink.  Oh HEAVEN once again! Man oh man, do I miss that stuff.  You'd think over time it would go away, nope.  (But that one drink has been kicking me in my bum since then.  I want it so bad now!  But I can do it, less than 3 months!)

We were on our drive back home and stopped in Green River to go potty.  While at the gas station, I decided to just drive down the street and let the kids go play at the splash park there in GR.  It was random and super fun!  They had their bathing suits in their bags, so it was perfect.  Of course though it was super windy so they didn't last long, but they were so happy to get to play there.  It was a fun little excursion.

It was a perfect little vacation with my little munchkins.  I love these two little people.  They are my life (along with their Daddy!) and I'm so happy that we all get to be together forever.  I couldn't ask for more!  And we are so happy to add to our family too!  Aurora is already loved so much by her family.
