Jungle Yard

Last week without Mike was one on the hardest I've had while he's been gone. I was so used to him being around so much that this time was a bit harder. I am so very grateful he has a good job and works so hard for us, but it was rough. I must love him:)

Linc and I both had a hard time without Daddy around. I know this time he noticed he wasn't around and was a little extra grumpy. And it doesn't help that I worked 3 days last week instead of my normal 2. Shilayna couldn't watch him 2 of the days so I think it was even harder for him because he had a few different people watch him. Poor kid, just passing him around! I had to do a CPR class this week so I had another friend watch him for that, too. I worked the Friday grave shift so Linc got to have a sleep-over with Grant. I think they had fun together running around and wearing each other out.

I came home and slept for about 3 hours after I got off that morning, woke up and got ready and went and picked up Lincoln and we headed to Ut for Annica's bridal shower. It was a fun party. We got to see a lot of family and just sit around and bs, it was a good time. And I'm very excited for Annica to become a part of our family:)

My mom has a super cute mini Dyson vacuum that Linc absolutely loved!

Me and Lincoln stayed at Grandma and hung out with the twins and Ty for a while, and just as I was putting Linc in his carseat to leave, Mike called and said he was on his way to their house from the airport in SLC. So we waited a bit longer and got to see Mike for a bit before we headed home that night all together. It was SO good to see him! And he picked me up a fish taco at Del Taco for Mother's Day, what a sweetie.

This week has been super good. I only tomorrow and Sat, so its been so nice to be at home and hang out with my boys. Mike was suppossed to go on another job Sunday night, but waited around for it until last night (Wed), not very fun knowing there is a job coming but not knowing when. Hopefully he'll only be gone a few days!

Yes! These are pre pics of our AWFUL lawn, or should I say, jungle! Lincoln didn't seem to mind at all.

We got to eat dinner at friends as well as have some over here for dinner. And we FINALLY mowed our lawn. It wasn't as bad until our next door neighbors mowed their lawn, then ours looked awful. So we went outside and got quite a bit done with the lawn. I need to get some flowers! We've never had any, unless you count all the dandelions.

Of course I had to get another picture of my sweet sleeping boy. He is huge in his crib! I'm actually so sad to switch him to a big boy bed soon. He is a freak about his crib now and would stay in there all day if he could. If we go in to get him too early after he wakes up, he doesn't want to get out. I'm not complaining! More sleep in time for us!! (And I've definitely been taking advantage of it lately!)

We still haven't gotten the bedroom done upstairs and still have stuff all over the house out of order. Mike had to work on his days off when we planned to finish it. Hopefully soon we can. We ordered Lincoln's bed, but don't have a room to put it up in. It's ok, we still about a month and a half to go. Sequoia is going to be here so soon! I'm getting super excited, but still love having one child:)

This is my Linc's tv stare. This little guy LOVES his movies! When there is nothing on and its quiet in the house, Linc will pull out a dvd and bring it to me to put in, and then he's zoned. I feel bad, but at the same time its super nice that hes easily entertained. And its pretty much the only time he eats his yucky vegies; he has no idea he's eating them.

It is always hard when you have your husband home and then he has to go out again. I feel a little bit of your pain even though Ben doesn't travel near as much as Mike does.

I bet it is SO hard having your hubby gone! Especially this late in pregnancy when your hormones are all CRAZY. Hang in there! Linc is such a handsome little guy. He is growing up so fast!

I know the feeling of getting use to the husband and then having him leave. Everything is crazy. Grant has though same pajamas as the one Lincoln is wearing while he is in his crib, well, he did have those. They would be like shorts on him now! Anyway, we need to get together again soon. Maybe take the boys to the splash park!
