Thursday morning we left St George, Ty with us, and went to Annie's house in Lehi. We got to see the brand new baby Jaron and chat for a bit, then we took Logan and Damon with us and went to Discovery Gateway in SLC. We had never been there and I really wanted to take the kids while Mike and I were actually together and had the time. It was worth it. So much fun! Our passes to the Science Zone here in town got us into Discovery for free. Yeah!
Oh man how glad I was that Mike and I took the kids together, and even more happy Ty was with us too! It was a mad house with children everywhere. I actually did end up losing Sequoia once and the people at the front desk brought her to us. "Whoops, that one's mine!" Once we chilled a bit more, we had a blast. And I loved all the creative things they had for kids to do.
Linc loved the horse.
Ty and Damon
Logan cried when he had to leave the "construction site." He could have lived there.
Just chilling in the car:)
And hiding in the car...
The grocery store was MY favorite. I seriously wish I could have had something like this when I was little! I loved to pretend to be in a grocery store.
I was so happy that they loved it too!!
Logan talked to this girl forever. It was so cute:)
Aaawww.. Heaven play store:)
I loved their cute little mini house too.
After Discovery, we met up with Tyson, Danielle and their two little ones at Rumbi's for dinner. It was so yummy! It was a bit crazy with 6 kids all together, but we survived. It was fun to get to see Danielle one more time. We went back to Annie's after dinner. The kids were exhausted!!
So we stayed up for a bit and held (I) the sweet baby and just chatted till it was bedtime. Thanks Annie for letting us crash at your house so soon after the baby was born:) Ty came home with us to Casper the next morning.
It was great to get to spend time with EVERYONE on our trip (except T & J, but they had so much fun on their cruise I'm sure they didn't care:) When we got home we realized with all the money we had just spent on gas, food, and shopping we could have gone somewhere exotic and sunny just the two of us and not Utah. But.... I'm glad we chose to visit our families instead. Well worth it! Right?? ;)
