Two month check up

Sequoia had her 2 month check up today. Its always so FUN to take these two out in public:) I stopped by the hospital to drop some stuff off and let them see the kids. I'm going back to work the week of the 21st in Sept. I still have another month, wahoo! Although I am excited to go back.

So... she weighs 10lbs 2oz (40%), 21 1/2 in (10%), 37cm head. She has thrush all over her mouth. I can't believe I didn't even notice! I'm obsessed with cleaning my babies! I didn't even think about her mouth. The Dr (not Yeshlur, out of town) said that once we get it all cleared up she might not cry as much, so thats a plus! I just feel bad:( Yeah I guess I just never thought of something like this, oh well, by the fifth one I'm sure we'll have it down! So I picked up some medicine for her. Its awesome stuff, check out the pics. The doc said she will have a purple stained mouth and lips for a few days while I give it to her. So beautiful!

I was also going to say, Sequoia was so so good last week! She was so happy and would just lay on the floor for like an hour straight and not cry. I had to keep checking on her to make sure she was still alive! I'm so used to screaming that every time she is quiet and smiling, I love every minute!!! But yesterday and today... she's back to her normal self, granted she got all her shots today and was super sad. But its a start!

Oh and surprise surprise! While we were at the Dr office, Lincoln threw up again! I swear its getting old. We're now wondering if he has Mike's acid reflux... I don't know, poor little boy. It was all over the floor! I'm thinking too I give him way too much water, he absolutely loves water. He just sat there pale and didn't move for a while in the chair (which was actually a plus because he wouldn't hold still while the doc was with us).

Very disappointed!

K so I finished all 3 seasons of Heroes in less than 3 weeks, sad! But what's even sadder is that the end of 3 was such a bummer! I'm so disappointed that I'm not even sure if I want to continue watching, we'll see how it goes. I'm not going to give anything way just in case someone wants to see it, but man, bummed!

We are going to bless Sequoia this weekend and Mike and I get to talk, yeah! So I need to hurry and go work on my talk as well as get this house in order, but I wanted to post some pics real quick. I have some videos, but I dropped the camera battery down the couch and am way too freaked out to reach my hand down and get it out, maybe tomorrow!

Me and Shilayna were just hanging out in the living room and we looked over and Lincoln was being so sweet with his sister. He doesn't go by her much, but when he does, its so cute! I had to hurry and get it on video!
And just a funny thing; I walked into my bedroom and Lincoln was in there playing with the things in my jewelry box (which is a no no, but of course one of his favorite places to play!) So... I stop and just look at him with my hands on my hips. He looks up at me and says, "No no no!" At least they know, little stinker!:)

Oh man, I was way too tired last night! Not kidding I was sitting on the couch posting those videos and fell asleep with the comp on my lap sitting up. I woke up about 2am and decided to just go get in bed. So here's some more...

I went to Plain City to go visiting. He stopped by and saw my friend Rich so he could see little Sequoia. We also got to see my friend Heidi; she just had a little baby girl as well, but I forgot to get a pic, darn!

He loves to wear head bands, hats, anything!

He found Woody and Buzz and wouldn't put them down. He also loves dolls. Ty let us bring them home with us for a while. He's so happy with them.

Its so nice to be home! Although its a bummer when you go to put your children to sleep and remember there's no milk! So I had to pack them up in the pjs and run to the grocery store and get the necessities. And since we've been gone so long, Lincoln is not liking him room. Its been a struggle tonight getting him to bed. Tomorrow will be better...

Girls movie night out

Every day I keep saying "I'm going home tomorrow" but am still here! I was going to go home Wed so I could make it to the yw activity but we figured it was a perfect night for us to go to a late movie. Me, twins, Mom, Tenille and Annica all went to The Time Traveler's Wife. I absolutely loved it, and cried throughout!! It was so good and totally hit home. It reminded me a lot of mine and Mike's life, constantly gone. But it works and I'd never change it for anything.

Yeah and when we got home after midnight I realized I was all out of diapers for Lincoln. Hello, that has never happened to me, I always am stocked! So me and Mom had to run to Walmart at 1 in the morning to get them. Fun.

And since I ended up staying tonight we went to Ty's posse BBQ thing. It was good to get Linc out and play, even though he frickin almost got run over by some kid's mini jeep thing, which is not so mini next to him. The kid was out in the middle of the field and Linc thought it was cool and was by them just watching and the kid started chasing him down in it while Linc was running away in front of it!! I ran out to grab him and yelled at the kid who was only like 4yrs. The little boy said, "Well he was in front of me." I was pissed! Yes I yell at other people's children even if their parents are watching!! I would have done the same had it been my own child trying to run down a baby, actually they wouldn't even have the thing anymore. Geesh!! (obviously I'm still a little bugged)

Anyways... I'm pretty sure we are going to head out in the morning. I'm excited to go be in my own home again. I miss it almost as much as I miss my sweetie.

Picture Day

We took the kids in to Target to get their pictures taken. It was super crazy, which was expected, but I'm so so so glad we did! It was Lincoln, Sequoia and Koban. They turned out super cute, I love them! Lincoln was as curious and crazy a usual, but through all the chaos, we got some really good pictures! I get them in a couple weeks and will post some. Oh man, I feel awful! I picked Lincoln up by his hands while in the studio and hurt his wrist! He cried and cried and wouldn't move his wrist to even drink his bottle. Poor baby! Its been a few hours now and he just started using it a bit so thats good. I just feel so bad!

Oh but by the way, my little screaming Sequoia, just perfect for pictures! She was so GOOD! I kept waiting for her to say "Just kidding Mommy, AHHH!" But she didn't. I'm so happy about that! Lincoln was Lincoln, and Koban slept the whole time; he peeked his little eyes for a few pics, but pretty much just had a great nap. It was a fun little adventure that we wont do for a long time to come:)

Sleepy Quoia

Lincoln finally called me Mom today! Yea! He ran up to me with arms open and said "Mam mam mam." I'm so happy! He's been saying Dad for a while, now its my turn. I love it. We went to my cousin Hannah's wedding reception tonight and got to see family, its always fun to hang out with them.

At Grandma Phisters

We just made it to Grandma's today. I had my "6 week" OB apt this afternoon so we are going to just stay here and hang out till next week...

The young women had a sleepover at my house last night that was super fun, I love my girls! But man I'm super tired now staying up late and not getting my wonderful daily nap! I love ya Mikey! Linc still walks around the house calling for his "Da da da" and when he sees your picture. He misses and loves you too:)

Sequoia

She's getting so chunky! I weighed her about a week and a half ago (Tenille bought a baby scale) and she weighed 9lbs (Koban was 9lb 5)

We've had a good couple days. We went to my friend Cathy's for dinner last night. We work together. She is so sweet! And the food was delicious! Lincoln was so good at their house! He ate from Cathy and let her husband pick him up and play with him. It was so weird, Lincoln usually doesn't like people. It made me so happy, maybe he will grow out of being shy and anti-people. It just thought it was super funny... when I was leaving they walked us outside and she said, "I would love to watch Lincoln if you ever need to run errands or whatever, just drop him off! But not this one (pointing to Sequoia). I'll take him anytime, but not her." I had to laugh because its usually the other way around. Poor everyone, Sequoia cried and cried there. That is why I don't like to go anywhere, I love the comfort of my own home.

Just when I start to think, yea, Sequoia is calming down, maybe the crying is over, nope. She did so good today! It was a nice calm day, but then once bath time came for Lincoln when I can't hold her, she screams. Oh well! Oh and wonderful news! Sequoia has now slept from 9:30pm to 5:30am (8hrs) straight for 2 nights in a row now! I'm not going to hold my breath that it will happen all the time, but its a start! I'm so happy! Plus, I'll get up and feed her at 5:30 and she'll go back to sleep until 8ish. Its only 2 days, but I'm loving it!

She smiled for you Mikey!!! This was maybe the second time I've seen her really smile! Its all for her Daddy:)

My New Obsession

Ok so this past week I have been completely crazy about Heroes! It came out a few years ago and I'm just now getting into it. I had heard good things about it but already had some shows I was already watching and didn't want to start another one, but I did! Since I have SO much time at night feeding this little girl I figured I'd better be excited about staying up with her. It actually makes it kind of fun to get up a few times at night so I can watch my show!

Speaking of Sequoia, she is still a crier. Its so much fun:) She hates poopy diapers, and has a tiny little bit in her diaper about every 2 to 3 hours, not even joking. She was started to get a sad little rash she was going so much. And she gets a bunch of air in her tummy. Between the two, she just isn't happy half the time. I'm hoping it wont last too long!

Lincoln stayed in nursery again today, yea! Its so nice to get to go to my meeting baby free, of course Sequoia gets passed around. Even though I find myself falling asleep in class because I'm not chasing Lincoln or holding a crying baby. But its a nice two hours of rest:)

I'm trying to loosen the apron strings a bit and let Linc do more things on his own, like feed himself out of a jar. I just like things clean!!

Grant and Lincoln playing. Toni and Grant came over to play for a while tonight. These two are so cute; they have a love/hate thing going on. They take toys away and are just boys, but love to be together. Toni said Lincoln started to cry in nursery today because Grant stepped out for a second, but was totally fine when he came back. I love that Lincoln has a little friend.

I'm missing Mikey already! He left super early this morning. I think this past week has been one of the funnest weeks I've spent with him as a family. We were getting pretty spoiled having him around for the past four days. I'm sure we will having plenty more great days in the future! We've been dreading today for a while now. He went to Canada for 3 weeks for Sr School. I hope the time goes by fast! I'm going to go to my parents for a few days and go visit friends and possibly make a trip down to St G, we'll see how the kids are. And its a bummer with Mikey up there because his cell phone is super expensive to talk on so he bought a prepaid phone that is still not cheap, so I don't get to blab on and on to him as usual which makes it even worse. (I'm sorry to who comes over to visit soon, I'll talk forever about anything since I don't have my sweetie around to blab with!!)

K, scary! So I'm sitting here in my living room, its a bit after 10pm, and my door bell just rang! I heard someone outside run, so I waited a while to go turn on the porch light and open the blinds. No one was there, so oh well. I'm not opening the door when Mike isn't here! I get so nervous already when he's gone, so that didn't help!!!
